Item was received today. The original box was all torn and mangled. The earmuffs were grimy and disgusting. A clearly used item, didn't even take them out of the "box". The picture shows earmuffs as received.

Found these in an article about big heads and thought I'd give them a try. They fit great and are very comfortable. The ear opening is large enough to fit big ears as well. Might not be as quiet as some more higher end earmuffs but they are good enough for the workshop and range.

I was a bit surprised at how well and comfortable these fit.I work in a building with a large computer datacenter, and frequently have to wear ear protection, sometimes for hours at a time. These are a big upgrade from my previous favorite pair, the .The noise reduction is noticeably better on this new Peltor Sport earmuff (maybe I should have gone with the , it does somewhat inhibit conversation). These also have the same good black ring plastic material that, in the 5 years I have experienced, has held up very well. In other model earmuffs I've used, the plastic ring hardens over time and becomes less effective and uncomfortable; not so with these Peltors!I also had a brief experience with the predecessor, the original which I found fairly uncomfortable due to the headband. This newer model has a MUCH more comfortable headband!If I had to pick something to complain about, it would be that initially the earmuffs fit a bit too tight until the metal band has time to stretch to your fit. You can either manually open it wide and hold it there for a bit to fix this, or just wait a week or two of use and it'll fix itself. The earmuffs are very adjustable for different head shapes, and the height adjustment works well from the getgo.

Comfortable with a secure fit. Great for shooting, wood working when using power tools, wife uses them when vacuuming. They get a little sweaty if using for extended periods, but if you let in air you're letting in noise. It's a trade-off I'm willing to accept. I would recommend this product.
