Here is the thing, it works great in your pocket, on your belt or around your neck. It starts up after 10 steps to eliminate false starts. Large readout, easy to see. The one drawback I have found upon using it, is I like to carry it in my front pocket by itself so nothing disturbs it. However, I found when I do floor stretching, it has reset on several occasions, losing my daily totals. I assume some of my stretches caused it to depress the clear button on the back long enough that the unit resets. I now take it out of my pocket for stretching but often forget to put it back for my run on the treadmill. But that is on me. I wish the clear was made in such a way that stretching would not cause it to reset.I have been using this on a treadmill putting in on my waist by my right front pocket. For every 100 steps taken on the treadmill it counts 10. Something not right here. I will contact the company first and if that does not work I will be sending it back.

Of course I don't have anything to prove that it's accurate but... we have 2 of these in the family. We took both of them on a walk together and inside of 4,000 steps, both were within 100 or so steps. So I'm not qualified to tell you that is good - but that's what happened. Dead easy to use. Clip it on a pocket, belt or whatever... press the button... you're done! Great little tool!

We ended up ordering this so my wife could count her steps while she was admitted to the hospital. Pedometer was very easy to setup, just pull the battery tab out and away you go.One thing we noticed after the first day or so is that it takes a good 10-20 steps uninterrupted before the pedometer really starts to count. My wife tried pacing back and forth in the hospital room, but the pedometer wasn't picking up anything if she didn't get a good 10-20 steps in.That being said, I'm sure not many people are buying this to walk 10-20 steps and expecting to see results... For people that are going for long walks/runs, this pedometer is worth every penny for tracking your steps.Great purchase. Highly recommended.

I really like this step counter as it is simple and does not have much technology to it. If fits nicely in my pocket and so no one really knows that I'm a nerd who counts his steps. I have purchased it a few times because it is easy to lose. But that comes with the territory. I find that it counts the steps fairly accurately. I recommend it for someone who wants to count their steps but does not want to wear bluetooth on their wrist or keep their phone in their pocket all the time.

Cannot use for intermittent walking. The walking must be constant for it to record properly.I bought this because I wanted a simple pedometer just to measure how many steps I was taking throughout the day walking around my home and garden. I don't go on long walks because of a knee injury but felt I was still getting a lot of activity in walking around my large kitchen and home all day. I needed an accurate count because my doctor wanted me to up my activity. It is very easy to use. It comes with a clip and a lanyard to string about your neck so it can work if you carry it in a pocket, clipped to your waist or shirt or even, the listing claims, in a purse or pocket. The listing claims high accuracy. This claim is not upheld in use. It's easy to use. I activated this (simply pull the white battery tab out) and clipped it onto my waist and it started working. However, it measured about half the steps. I was sometimes striding briskly, and sometimes stopping and starting after a step or two. It wasn't measuring half of the steps even when in continuous motion. So I put it around my neck - same. It stayed at 87 and recorded no more despite me walking twenty steps. Then stayed at 165 and recorded no more steps. I walked forty eight more steps and it didn't budge. I sat down to look over the manual again and then noticed it doesn't work for intermittent walking. NOWHERE did it say that in the listing or I wouldn't have bought it.If you want to go go on a continuous walk then sure, give it a try. Not sure it would record all your steps even that way. I cannot recommend this product.

It's appearance is what is advertised. I like the clip and easy to clip on pants. I wouldn't pay regular price which is $47 for this, don't think that is worth it. I bought it on sale for $29. I personally wouldn't have paid more than $20 now that I got the product. The part I'm not happy with, is the display is constantly not appearing. It said that might happen due to a new battery but it's been a while now and the display doesn't always appear. It gets very frustrating. I personally wouldn't buy it again and would try another one I was debating on over this one. I'm not really happy with the product.
