Do not use impact on this item, took 4 , 6 ply Atv tires off of my Polaris aluminum rims and it worked as advertised, a great little product that works, glad I bought it, will work on my snowblower and zero turn mower.

It’s well built but it Didn’t work well for my 17 inch tire n rim, and now it’s beyond the return window. Buy something else.

they should cover the holding finger with a rubber compound to stop it from sliding at times ... the finger will scratch mags if you have them , so put an old piece of rubber / hose over it .... I just changed a 15 inch tire on a steel rim and it worked like it should ... after pushing the bead down a bit , spray with a lube ( wd40 etc ) to help break the bead , then move the tool left or right about 4 inches and repeat the bead breaking exercise again... do not try to do it all from just one spot.

tried it once on regular 15 inch car steel rim and works perfectly fine. I wasn't really sure but I was surprised how well will do the job on both sides of the rim. Especially for the price compare to competitors is worth the money. It will fit in any trunk and only thing after releasing the bead is to remove the tire from the rim. Hopefully it will last as well - but it looks very sturdy and doesn't seem that there is much to break there.

I needed to replace some valve stems on my F150 wheels, this tool did not work. The first issue is with the design, the claw would just slide on the wheel and it would not open far enough to span the distance of the wheel opening, the only way I was able to make it it fit was to beat the the feet under the tire bead so the claw would hook the back of the wheel opening but that put the tool at to much of a horizontal angle to break the bead, I beat until I was beginning to damage the wheel so I gave up and drove over the tire with my truck which broke the bead enough so that I could replace the stem. This bead breaker may work on other rims, but it would not work on mine, the unfortunate thing is that I feel that I can not return it because I took a lot of the paint of beating on it, my loss.

So another review says it scratches rims, kinda expected it is steel on paint, sooo prewarned I used a bit of hose on the jaw, it works. Seller could add a rim protector for pennies and it would get 5 stars
