This flash is a little more advanced than what I do, but so far I’m really excited about the features. I have been testing it about a month and I’m still learning, but I’ve listed my pros and cons below. It is a really awesome flash, but be warned that it goes through batteries like crazy. I can’t tell you how many I’ve gone through, but I may have to explore if rechargeables are available (or go broke buying batteries). Neewer is one of my favorite companies and this flash is top notch like everything they make.PROS- Works well with my Canon DSLR cameras.- Hot shoe marries up well and I like the connector which has an additional lock button to keep the flash held in place. (Why can’t they do this kind of connection on all hot shoes? It really is so wonderfully simple!).- The overall build of the flash is very good. The door to the batteries is secure. All buttons and dials work well and feel good to the touch. The screen is good and easy to read.- Comes with a slightly padded case to keep the flash dust free and secure.- Comes with a “foot pad” to use the flash on a tabletop and off camera.- Comes with a pull out diffuser and bounce built into the flash.- I am really loving the E-TTL auto flash. This is great for “run and gun” shots where you don’t have time to think about changing the flash quickly. I am very pleased with most of the shots this produces although I had to watch if I had white or light areas in the perimeter which seem to “blow out” the highlights. My guess is these areas are not monitored and therefore not recognized. There is a way to do flash exposure compensation (-3.0 to +3.0) or flash exposure bracketing to compensate. It is taking me some time to learn it, so plan to practice. The flash reacted precisely as it should once I started figuring it out. By the way, the instructions are good, but practice and understanding how the equipment reacts is the key. The more I use the flash, the more I love it and my results keep getting better.- The flash has high speed sync. I’ve played with this a little and it seems to function just as it should.- There is manual flash that can override the automatic settings. Great for more control over the light.- Wireless flash shooting is available and seemed to work fine.- There is stroboscopic flash. I am still trying to figure this out, but it’s available!- There is an entire menu of customized features. I’m still exploring these, but given that this flash chews through batteries, I’m definitely turning on the auto sleep setting.CONS- I wish this had a rechargeable battery rather than having to use AA batteries. The flash requires four batteries and it “eats” batteries. On the positive side, you can swap out batteries easily without removing the flash from your camera.Overall, this is another great five star product by Neewer.

Every time I and use a NEEWER product I become more impressed with the quality and workmanship of their products. This canon-compatible camera flash is no exception. It offers versatile, quick connections, short recycle times, relatively long battery life, and more.High end flash attachments often hit $500 in price. At $150 for this I am pleased. An STG Synergies Review!

I've used some Neewer products in the past and my experience was mostly positive. So I decided to give this flash a try and I have to say it didn't disappoint at all. I've been testing it for a week now and it's has a really good quality, giving results similar to what you'd get from Cannon speedlites, making it a great alternative to the official ones. So far so good!

This company generally makes budget oriented products for photography however they are actually really good quality and they work really good. Don’t let the off brand deceive you this company makes some really quality stuff and this is no different has a whole array of features available and a bright flash.

So many different settings and features. I’m more of a novice photographer, but it was still easy for me to setup and use on my Nikon d700. Only downside is it is a little bulky.
