First of all, a great guitar for the price! The Musoo guitar I received was a beautiful cherry red with a very high gloss finish. Both the top and back are contoured and are at least AA flamed maple. the body is double bound and the neck and headstock are bound, as are the F-holes. The neck is a nice shallow C that fits comfortably in my small hands. The headstock angle seems to be 17 degrees like my SG. The tuners are branded Grover and seem to be of good quality. No reason to believe they are not Grovers. The nut is nice. The pots are full size pots, not dime-sized. The pickups sound fine. The switch and jack seem solid. The fret work is excellent. They did not need dressing or polishing whatsoever. The guitar played fine out of the box, no set-up or truss rod adjustment needed, not that this is hard to do, nor anything to complain about. Any guitar player should know how to set intonation anyway. The only flaws, and they are very minor, are; the binding on the F holes needed a bit of a touch up to remove some fibres and minor dirt from the factory. The binding is slightly thicker on a very short section of the upper bout. You can barely notice it. The dot position markers on the side of the neck that the player sees are only painted on and are not centred on the binding, so by the 17th and 19th markers, they are touching the red neck and not surrounded by the cream binding. Shining a light inside the body at the back, it appears that the maple back (and likely the top) are not the full thickness of the figured top and back but rather likely a thin veneer. But who cares? You won't regret owning this guitar. In my mind there is no need to switch any of the electronics. Plug it in and play!

As many have also said, the packaging leaves much to be desired. Guitar was in a foam bag, some pieces of styrofoam and a simply cardboard box. It seems inadequate yet somehow it arrived intact. The finish has a few barely noticeable scuffs from its journey. There are a couple of spots the red finish have some dark spots and there are a couple of little splatters of red onto the binding in a few places. Those flaws are barely noticeable and only apparent on close inspection, it's otherwise gorgeous and has very good quality flame maple veneer caps and mahogany at it's core as advertised. Inlays are all some form of mother of pearl and well installed. The guitar I received has nicely crowned and polished frets, all level. I tuned it and was able to play it minutes after unpacking it. That being said, a decent setup was required to get the neck relief properly set and the action adjusted - this is necessary for every guitar that has ever been shipped no matter the cost or manufacturer - so no problems there.A great beginner guitar, just get a tech or experienced player to adjust the truss rod and bridge, it's got a decent sound as is, and it is a well made instrument, far better than you would expect at this price point. That being said, I'd recommend upgrading the bridge, the saddles are a bit looser than they should be, it's a basic design and there are inexpensive alternatives with a more solid build available. Next I'd replace the pickups, the included ones are OK but there is room for improvement. The tuning machines say "Grover" and are adequate, I have my doubts they are what they say they are, but I don't think you need to rush out and replace them either. The stop bar is a good quality piece of hardware - it even has clips to hold it on when all of the strings are removed. Strangely it claims to be "Epiphone" on the underside which is partly what makes me question the "Grover" on the tuners as well.I replaced all of the hardware on mine with Gotoh parts, partly for a different look (I used black hardware) and a set of Wilkinson alnico pickups and now have a very solid playing guitar that still cost less than an Epiphone and vastly less than a Gibson. I think just replacing the bridge with a Gotoh model and the Wilkinson pickups and you'd be in at least Epiphone-quality territory for a few hundred less.If you're looking to add a nice ES335 Dot to your collection but don't want to break the bank, I'd say you can't go wrong with this one.

This is an absolutely fantastic guitar! The quality of the finish is fantastic! I'm not 100% positive about this, but it appears to be a nitrocellulose finish on it, which would be incredible at this price! The flamed maple (or perhaps mahogany) is also incredible at this price. The pickups sound amazing, the hardware works beautifully. There's no crackling when turning the pots, and the pickup selector works perfectly. The neck profile is perfect, for me. I'm so incredibly impressed with this guitar. I've played Gibson and Epiphone ES-335's and this guitar is absolutely on par with the Epiphone maybe even the Gibson! I highly highly recommend this guitar

The guitar body and finish was flawless. The neck needed adjustment and frets needed polished. The bridge was on backwards but when I turned it around the intonation was almost dead on. Replaced the strings and performed a setup. Plays nice and soundsPretty good. It is a fair value for the money. For anyone buying a guitar of this style, the G String will sound off. Use strings with a woundG and the tone will be even across all strings.
