The enclosure is constructed using 5/8-Inch MDF (medium density fiberboard) which means it is designed to handle excessive bass with no fear of failure. In the beginning these were great and I really enjoyed them sadly the amp got too hot and would shut off when I was driving in the heat, I switched out the amp to a better Kenwood one but shortly after something like the soldering or wiring failed on the inside of the box and I will have to replace the set up
