Perfect storage solution for our 12'6" kayaks. Like others have stated the hardware supplied is way to small and the hole spacing on the hooks is wider then a wall stud. I just mounted some scrap plywood I had laying around to the the wall and then mounted the hook to the plywood. Hooks keep the kayaks nice and close to the wall so there is no wasted space. These hooks are also very sturdy, they say 100lbs but I'd imagine I could stand on them and they'd be fine. Good value for the money

Quality product in construction, fittings and hardware. excellent finishing touches, even the packaging was sturdy and everything was intact upon delivery. Highly recommended when you looking for a set of supports to hang your Kayak (note the tennis balls are not included and were added to the second set as the hooks are at eye level.)

This kayak mount is very sturdy and does what it is promises to do at the best price point I was able to find. Being able to mount my kayaks flat against the wall of my garage is a real space-saver. I am very happy with this product.

Sadly, the mounting plates are too wide for a standard wall stud. That said, it's easy enough to provided alternate mounting .Some durable foam (?) sleeves to go over the bolt hold the two parts together would offer protection to the canoe/kayak on the hooks.
