We purchased this screen for family movie night out on the pool deck. The 102" diagonal screen allowed our family and guests to see the screen from virtually anywhere in our backyard. I am betting our neighbors were also able to enjoy the show on our new drive in theater sized screen. The screen shipped in a sturdy corrugate carton and is fully assembled right out of the box. The tripod allows for easy portability and set up in virtually any location. To set up you simply pull up on the screen, hook it around the adjustable height pole and voila, you are ready to start watching your feature presentation. The adjustable height pole allows the entire screen to be adjusted higher and lower for maximum flexibility. It really does have a very robust feel to it, the integrated interval locking system works great.I was surprised at the clarity of the picture, the colors were vivid making the actors seem life like. While it doesn't ship with a carrying case, it folds down neatly for easy storage. The family can't wait for our next feature presentation, I highly recommend this screen.

I compared the screen material side by side with 1.0 gain, MaxWhite B screen material. The difference is astonishing. The gain for this material is somewhere between 1.3-1.6! What means this? It means that the image has a tremendous contrast and clarity and is not just blinding bright as on MaxWhite. I am able to use my projector Epson HC1060 (3000 lumens, 15000:1 contrast) on ECO function, meaning HALF light bulb power (so with increased bulb life) with much lower noise on cooling fan! The distance between projector and screen is 7 feet. With these settings, the image is clear and as bright as my 65" Samsung TV. I can use the screen even with the light on in the room! I doubt that this can be obtained using other projector screens UNDER 1000$ made by high end projector screens manufacturers. I didn't test this screen with 4k source, only with HD.I've read some critical reviews on this item and I am surprised by the ridiculous of their opinion. This MPLUS Projector Screen is priced close to 100$ not to 1000$. If you subtract from the price paid, the price of shipping how much remains as profit for the manufacturing company to be entitled to yell against the quality?Yes, the auto lock mechanism is not the "hydraulic" high end type, yes, some creases are on the screen when you open it the first time (I've got rid of them by hanging some weight at the extremities of the handle support), the sides are slightly folded but THIS IS NOT a Tab-Tensioned screen (add a few hundred dollars for this option...). The chemical smell, that is quite normal on these products when are new, disappears in two days by keeping it open. The idea is you get an ultra-low budget projector screen that gives you the chance to understand what characteristics you have to look for if you intend to buy a much more expensive screen (specially what means the "screen gain"). Personally I am extremely satisfied with the product and I will gladly buy again if in a few month the rolling mechanism would fail or the material would develop defects. On the other hand I suppose the manufacturing company will come with other ameliorated models with the same or even improved optical quality of the screen material. Don't forget that with the money paid for this projector screen you are not able to fill the gas tank of your car these days!

I was a bit concerned after setting this up, the screen was not 100% flat. The material is good but it's obvious that since it's so inexpensive compared to the others, the quality assurance is not there at all on this product. That being said; the slight ripples in the material coming down diagonally from the upper corners of the screen in essence does not have a big impact on how good the image looks.I was very pleased with how great my projection looked! Frankly, much better than the wall. You can hardly notice the imperfection in the material and I'm happy with this purchase overall.I did experience another major problem, it would not retract back into it's housing after opening it for the first time. Again, the poor QA. Others had reported this issue, and all it took was a screwdriver to open it up, wind up some tension and it was working perfectly. If you encounter this, all you need to do is unscrew the plastic cap that's next to the MPLUS logo, hold on to it as the spring will push it out, then turn it a bit towards the direction of the tension to make the spring work, put it back on and tighten the screws, there you go as good as it's supposed to be!

But it arrived intact and relatively well-packed. Installation is about as easy as it gets; a laser level made this even faster. I didn't notice much smell during unboxing, but I use this outside.Despite being used on an outdoor wall every weekend for an entire summer, I've had no issues with warping, twisting, tearing, or picture quality. I routinely take mine in at night and rehang it before use; as long as you don't beat up the plastic ends or keyholes, and pull the screen gently, it should live a long life.Compared to cheaper screens that come with projectors and those that use eyelets/grommets for tensioning/installation, this is a significant time and effort saving that's well worth the cost. I wish I'd bought this with the projector from the beginning.

Easily installable (two people makes measuring and mounting easier), mounted onto a wall through plaster and wood. I used longer more substantial screws and rawl plugs than those provided for peace of mind, and I can’t comment on how hollow wall mountings might perform, it’s quite a heavy unit.Good quality manual (not electric so no remote) pull down and retractable screen. Has a strong smell (a bit like white spirit) at first but this disappears after a few uses. Screen has a few shallow wrinkles due to it being rolled in its cartridge, I thought these might dissipate over time but not as yet…not really noticeable when there is lots of movement on whatever is being projected. Material allows for projection of a crisp and colourful image. Some reviews mention problems retracting, I’ve not experienced this. Pull it down slowly, stop pulling it out as soon as you see the black trim emerge at the top of the projection area, and when putting it away pull down a couple of inches and then hold on as you follow it back up in one fluid motion…I find holding the bar rather than the pull-string makes it easier, both hands, one hand a few inches either side of the central pull-string. It’s the same knack as a roller-blind at my Grandparents house, I guess I’m used to it…firm but gentle, one fluid motion.

Huge screensize. Decent quality for the price. Retracts smoothly to hide when not in use.

I used this screen for my school media room, the unit is not durable for everyday use and started to tear. The auto lock feature never worked. The plastic legs are not strong enough for the weight of the entire unit.My suggestion is to upgrade the legs to steel and fix the plastic auto lock
