So I have a sour cream cake recipe that I used to make all the time. The last few years it ended up crusty along the edges and doughy in the middle. I used these and the cake was PERFECT! I’ve been sharing this tip with all who would listen!

Definitely achieved the desired effect - these are the flattest cakes I've ever baked! The wet strips (and the cakes) were in my oven at 375°F for 30 minutes. They came out kinda hot but dry and undamaged (other than a couple brown stains from where I assume batter got on them).They were a little annoying to get on as they kept loosening and falling off the pans, but eventually I got them to stay. They have two straps, one of which is attached to one end and the other of which is a moveable loop.Overall, they're definitely useful!

These cake stripes really do worm to keep your cakes from having rounded tops

These will eliminate rounded tops on cakes, however the cake pans that you need these for usually have slanted sides. So turning the pans, or taking them out to check them will allow the wraps to fall off. You have to hold them up and try to tighten them once back in the oven which allows a lot of heat to escape. Ironically, straight-sided pans are usually better pans and don't require the wraps for flat tops.

I saw these on baking show (Preppy Kitchen) and they were used to get a flat, evenly baked cake. They actually work! So much better for stacked cakes with frosting. Makes it easier, no waste, frosting becomes a breeze. So glad I purchased them.

Anyone who bakes knows about the cake “dome” that most often requires it be sliced off to get a nice even layer. With these baking strips you dip in cold water, squeeze excess and wrap around your bake pan. I used 6 inch silicone pans for this cake shown but the strips are adjustable for 8,9 and ten inch pans. The strips cause cakes to bake from the center out instead of the edges cooking and burning first. The result is perfectly even, bakery level cake layers that are perfect and ready to decorate.
