A simple jig, with cutter, that worked flawlessly for the 4 doors and jambs I needed to mill and install. Take your time, layout the markings carefully and the doors just slip into place. Easy to use, but take care with setting the jig against the door or jamb edge. Inexpensive product that saved me hours.

I bought the tool since it comes with the router bit, which normally costs as much as the tool itself. Seems like a great deal.As mentioned by other reviewers, the template positions the hinge slightly too "shallow" on the door. So I ended up grinding off the guides and fastening a block of wood where I wanted the jig to stop. This worked perfectly, also allowing the unit to be clamped very firmly to the door.This setup made hanging doors very simple while achieving professional results.

Good jig, but nothing is perfect so do a test cut first. The mortise cut with the jig was just a hair too big for my hinges leaving it a bit sloppy in the pocket, so I put a layer of Gaffer tape on either side of the jig to shrink the mortise to the perfect size. A good jig to make your life easier, lord knows we all need that!

I recently replaced 8 interior doors, and this hinge pattern template saved me a lot of time and effort. It’s simple to use—just secure the template to the correct location on the door, and then use a router to cut out the hinge opening. The results were precise and consistent across all the doors, giving me a professional-looking fit. If you're replacing multiple doors or doing any kind of door installation, this tool is definitely worth it.

Simple and easy to make the hinge grooves. No setup required.But unfortunately the templates are not for Australian hinges standard .I had to return but will definitely buy again if metric templates are made available for Australian customers.
