Great travel kennel, easy to set up and take down. Has a nice handle to carry, we leave it up all the time as both our dogs like to lay in this kennel. Good quality

This is our second fabric-sided dog crate, as we added a second puppy to our family. We like to camp but space is limited in our small car with our kids and two border collies; this crate folds up and can fit in our roof box with the other crate and other camping stuff, which is perfect. Compared to our other crate (which was a cheaper one) this one is far superior. Heavier, yes, but also sturdier. Looks nicer, the mesh is much more heavy duty, and it just feels better quality overall. Only downside is that there is no way it’d fit in our VW sportwagen trunk assembled - it is quite a bit taller that our other 36” long crate. Oh, and there is no side door, unlike the other, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Overall I am very happy with the purchase.

Purchased this item for my German Shepherd. I take him to outdoor events all the time and this was perfect for hauling around in my car. It is lightweight and I didn't have any problems carrying it around from event to car to garage and back again. It was big enough that my dog could lay down in, turn around and be comfortable. The material is like canvass. Although durable, it can rip. Mine, after two years of use, is starting to see some wear and tear in the corners where the metal frame sits. But I would expect nothing less as I set this up on many different surfaces. I appreciate the well-sewn construction and this has exceeded my expectations. The only downfall was that he figured out the zipper so he let himself out a few times. I think adding an extra latch for the zipper would be ideal to keep the "smarter" dogs in.

Picked this up for our new morkie puppy so we can take him camping. Sturdier than most collapsible carriers, easy to setup and take down, and comes with a pad.Our puppy loves it more than his regular crate as well. Set it up to try out and he grabbed his toys and set up camp right inside of it almost immediately.

Much easier to pop up and fold down than my last one. Open two tabs, hold handle and it expands, reach in and move one bar into place and In seconds it is done. Some reviewers have said how “awkward it is to have to crawl in to get the bar” - but it really is not a big deal for me as it is way easier to set up. No trying to push frame apart to get a bar to go into place is a treat. Use for agility class and although it is a bit heavier than my last one - the ease of setup and take down makes up for it. There are bars on the bottom frame that some have complained about cause the pad is a bit thin, but dog doesn’t seem to care. A thicker pad would not permit it to close up so either have a separate one you carry and insert - or live with it! The jury is still out on the plastic/rubber” screen on the front. He lays looking out and toe nails on it pushing on it/ a lot of times, but so far have held up. For the price, I would recommend. To house a puppy or a chewer all day - go with a hard plastic travel one or a metal frame not this one. (Surprised how many reviewers were expecting this to hold up all day with an anxious dog). Folks- Don’t expect a nylon crate to be puppy proof! They can be creative little brats - but this suits the bill perfectly for our purposes and would recommend for the price.

I bought this tent crate because I wanted to be able to take Blue (APBT) on outdoor trips like camping or to the beach.Like: light weight, easy set up, great for traveling. Metal frame is sturdy. Easy to store away for space. Comes with cushion. As soon as I set it up Blue went inside without command or training. He loved it. I called it his dog-man cave.Dislike: after three days. Blue was very much comfortable. However, after a 30 min appointment I come home and Blue was not secured in his crate. He tore through the stitching. Not like he chewed a hole, he pushed so hard to break through that the sewing came apart and the zipper line ripped apart. If you think your dog is well behaved and won't attempt to break out, think again.I spent $106 for this tent and it hurts to think now of it as just an expensive paperweight. I only hope that I can find a seamstress to repair it. Or perhaps the merchant can replace the fabric covering.

I use this inside the camper for my rabbit, Buster, while we're camping. It's just as sturdy as a metal crate (which I hated setting up and breaking down) without all the weight. Extremely simple to set up, unfold and place the bar... done! Reverse to break down. I would have liked to get the larger crate, but this one (36 by 25.5 by 28-Inch) is the same size as his nighttime crate at home and fits nicely in the limited space in the camper. Plenty of room for his litter box, water bowl, bed roll, and play. One of the main reasons I bought this particular portable crate is because of the high canvas sides, which makes the entire crate very sturdy. I was pleasantly surprised by the thickness of the mesh as well... strong! and he hasn't shown any interest in chewing it, unlike his outdoor playpen that has thin mesh windows and a zipper door that he could reach and chewed through.

I bought this crate a few months ago to replace a previous model Midwest softside that was damaged beyond repair due to human error - friend tripped and fell and bent the steel bars and caused a small rip in the mesh window. no fault of the manufacturer! The dog exploited the hole when I (stupidly) put her in the crate last Halloween night, which was 2 weeks after moving into our house from a condo; the first night we had nonstop doorbell ringing with trick r treaters. a new experience. The main reason i have the soft sided crate is for when i travel w the pup and when my housekeeper is here. My housekeeper does not need help from a 70-ish pound lab-toller mix! My dog, Sandy, was crate trained at 10 weeks of age, and therefore does quite well. She is now 5.When I first bought this crate, I put it up in the dining room with a Midwest fleece bed, just to figure out how the assembly works. within an hour or so, I was surprised to find Sandy curled up inside asleep. I moved it upstairs into the guest room with the thought of 'only' breaking it out when my housekeeper was here. however, I was lazy one week and did not take it down, and soon discovered if she is not asleep on her dog cot in my room is tucked away in the crate, so have been leaving it up.as far as construction, easy to put up and down, and does seem to be a better design than the former model. And when I do have guests, it folds into a compact package that fits under the guest room platform bed.all the things they advertise are true... light weight and easy to carry. Fits in the bottom of the cargo section of my Subaru, so we are ready for sun and snow adventures! But for me, dog can sleep anywhere she wants, and she chooses to sleep in her tent! which is going to make it so much easier the next time we travel out of town.Cheers, Simplypegbtw - also bought 2 of the hard crates (1 for each house) for when dog was a chewing puppy- loved those too!

My pup LOVES this crate. I’ve kept it up in my room to get him habituated before traveling, and he chooses to nap in it frequently (it helps that it’s next to my desk, so he can be next to me while I work). He’s a tall Malinois and the extra height is perfect. It’s nearly as tall as his 48” metal crate. He seems to really like the padding as well. He’s moved it around and scratched at it, as he does when getting settled in, and it’s held up. The design is superb for easy setup and the crate is light, making it easy to transport. It’s still large when folded but that is expected. It isn’t the sturdiest crate; if you have a big time chewer or scratcher you may want to think of other options.UPDATE:We still love this crate! I use it as my office crate. My pup loves it, chooses to hang inside it and is happy when I shut him in to leave the room. Sometimes when he’s wanting to be out, he’ll scratch the door or dig. No damage whatsoever, it’s a sturdy material (although he only does this briefly before settling down, a more destructive dog would probably destroy this). I’m very pleased.
