My wife likes to bring home dollar store finds that would look perfect with a plant in them and the last one she wanted to put outside. Of course, it would need a drainage hole for when it gets rained on. That’s why I got this and the bit I chose went through that chicken like butter.I’ve used other ceramic bits of a different design (pointy, no hollow center), and they took forever to get through. Not this. I love the idea of starting on an angle and then straightening it out. It put a divot in there right away and that prevented the bit from skittering away. Go slow and keep a solid hold on the bit and once you got it started, you’re good. Mind you, if you need exact placement, the starting divot should not be placed at the center of the hole, it needs to be placed on the outside. That might not make this the best bit for when you are trying to mount a shelf on a tiled wall and need to be top-dead-center.The wax inside a hollow center is a great idea. No need to keep dosing it with water, although nothing is stopping you if you want to keep the dust down. You get 10 bits for under $40, so that’s less than $4 a bit. The varied sizes and multiple bits mean this will probably meet any random jobs that come your way. If you have a lot of holes to drill of the same size, don’t get this “variety pack”. I do view these bit as being disposable. All in all, a great bit that goes through hard surfaces very quickly, doesn't lose its diamonds after one hole, is self cooling and a decent price. 5 Stars!

I wasn't expecting much from these for especially for the list price when I got them but I have to say I'm happy with them. It's not easy to find good tile hole saw bits, I've uses a couple from home depot, one was from a brand that makes great saw blades and it was garbage, the other was this style of bit from the same brand that makes my drill and it was pretty good but you needed to keep the tile wet. With these they have the wax inside the entire length of the bit so it should be good for a couple holes before you either replace the wax or just us water to cool the bit.One think I don't love is because the wax runs though the bit the bit is hallow, so that means there's also a hole where the bits go into the drill chuck, so if the bit gets hot enough and your drilling a hole in the ceiling the wax could melt into your drill, it's unlikely but possible. Also, because it's filled with wax there's no way to get the tile pieces out of the bit without forcing them out from the rear of the bit, which also means you could get tile in your drill chuck as well. These are all unlikely but possible.I imagine they will be good for a few holes each if you treat it right, I drilled 2.5 holes with the one bit and there was only a small portion where it looked like some of the diamond bit came off.The but was a little bit jumpy trying g to start it at a 45 but that was probably just the angle I was at when testing it on a scrap tile. When the bit heats up and the wax starts to melt you can really tell, it looks as though you put water in it. It drilled just as quick if not a bit quicker than the other good tile bit I have.

I recently used the Mgtgbao 10PCS Green Dry Diamond Drill Bits Set for a home renovation project, and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. This set, which includes various sizes (3/16, 1/4, 5/16, and 3/8 inch), proved to be highly versatile and effective for drilling through tough materials like granite, marble, tile, ceramic, stone, and glass. The diamond-coated bits are incredibly sharp, allowing for precise and clean cuts without chipping or cracking the material. I was particularly impressed with how effortlessly these bits drilled through hard surfaces, making what I anticipated to be a challenging task surprisingly easy. One of the standout features of this set is the dry drilling capability. This eliminated the need for water cooling, which not only made the process less messy but also saved a significant amount of time. The bits fit perfectly with my standard drill, and their sturdy construction provided a stable drilling experience without wobbling or slipping. The range of sizes included in this set was extremely useful for various tasks throughout my project, from smaller, detailed work to larger holes. Each bit maintained its sharpness and effectiveness even after repeated use, which speaks volumes about the durability and quality of this set.Overall, the Mgtgbao 10PCS Green Dry Diamond Drill Bits Set is a fantastic investment for anyone working with hard materials. It combines efficiency, precision, and durability, making it an indispensable tool for both professional contractors and DIY enthusiasts.

After trying the Mgtgbao 10PCS Green Dry Diamond Drill Bits Set, I feel pretty impressed overall. These bits really shine when it comes to drilling through tough materials like ceramic and tile. Starting at an angle helped me get through the tough surfaces quickly. I noticed that while they worked perfectly for several holes, they are somewhat disposable in nature. For the price, though, it’s hard to complain. If you’re into DIY and need reliable bits for occasional use, I’d recommend giving these a shot. Overall, a solid product that gets the job done!I hope you find this review helpful in making an informed decision. Your feedback is always welcome.Cheers,Straight Shooter

I needed some bits for a bathroom project, and these worked great. I was able to drill holes through the ceramic tiles easily and quickly. If you start your hole at an angle and then straighten the bit out, it will drill through the material quickly. I also like that there are guides on the side of the bit for jobs where you need to stop the hole at a certain depth. The guides make setting up your drill press that much easier. You get 10 bits of various sizes with hex shanks that will work in any drill or drill press. I am quite happy with these drill bits.

I use these to drill holes in flagstone since that is what covers our patios, walkways and pool deck. Normally these diamond crusted bits make quick work of the hole, but these seemed to struggle, and they just didn’t have any longevity. I know they are consumables, but I was expecting more than 2 holes before it gave up. I tried 3 of the bits with the same results on different projects.

Makes quick clean holes in cement (and harder surfaces) I find this style to make slightly sloppy "starts" on excessively dense materials like marble. But cuts marble faster than traditional bits..Good size for concrete ankors

I reviewed products for the Amazon vine program and I received this product to review. This set comes with 10 diamond drill bits in four sizes, 3/16, 1/4, 5/16, and 3/8' These bits are flat tipped, which makes it difficult to use with a portable drill. It's difficult to keep the drill bit in line when you're starting the hole. When testing a drill bit on a ceramic pot, I tried starting with the side of the bit to start the hole and then shifted it to 90° to complete the hole. The hole that I did make in this ceramic pot ultimately was clean and it drilled easily, but it felt uncomfortable using a portable drill. If you have a drill press, these should work very well. Because they were difficult to use with the portable drill I'm giving them three stars.

I am SO glad that I got these Mgtgbao diamond drill bits! have a bunch of projects around here that I’ve been waiting years to do, but I’ve never had the proper drill bits! The first project was to smooth down the edges of a very large lead crystal vase that had been broken about 10 years ago. It only broke on the top in such a way that the vase was still useable, but the very sharp edges made it too dangerous to use. These diamond bits smoothed those sharp, jagged edges so perfectly & now I have my beautiful vase back! I’m thrilled about this!I then needed to put some drain holes in a few ceramic pots outside that EVERY SINGLE YEAR, fill up with water that sits & sits & eventually becomes a breeding ground for mosquitoes! Not anymore! I used the 3/8 sized bit for the holes & on the first one I did, I actually flooded the bottom surface of the pot with a little bit of water, out of habit, and had no trouble drilling through the pot. I followed the advice of other reviewers & started off at an angle, using the edge of the bit against the pot before slowly bringing it up straight to finish. It went through the ceramic like butter. On the second one, I did NOT use water, which made me nervous, but it worked perfectly well. The bit was a bit hot, but not overly so, & the hole was clean. And I think I sort of expected there to be melted wax on the bit & around the hole, but there wasn’t! I’ve only ever used tiny diamond bits for drilling holes in silver, so I’m delighted to have finally upgraded to larger sized bits for the myriad projects around the home that inevitably come up & are part of the Joy Of Home Ownership! 😊🪜🔨🧰🛠️🪚🌺🌼🌸
