I bought one of these to apply texture to the ceiling one of the bedrooms in my house with plaster.I previously was hand-sponging with a small sea sponge. This roller made an hour's worth of effort hand-sponging take around two minutes instead.I am a bit sad that the sponge started to tear toward the end of the roller (not the end that attaches to the handle) after a few uses, but I'll admit I wasn't being super careful with it either -- I *am* using it for plaster instead of paint, after all.Overall, I'm happy with it. A small investment to make the job ten times faster.
