Ive been making my own leaders for northern pike for the last 3 years using 60 lb big game maxima flourocarbon. Ive never had a bite off yet and one leader is typically good for 20+ fish, just check it frequently for Knicks, clip off a few inches and retire. Usually I wait for a trip to Edmonton *I'm 5 hours north* to hit cabelas for this item but checked Amazon and its here, though it's only 40 lb test. Ive been meaning to try that for the thinner diameter. I typically make my leaders 16-24 inches with a snap swivel on one end and barrel swivel to attach to main line and since switching to flourocarbon leaders instead of steel my hookup ratio has improved drastically. Highly recommend this leader material

It was in too tight of a package. Coils were so tight it was like working with a slinky. I would steer clear of this package
