Master appliance is well known manufacturer for making excellent tool design. They know what they are doing and there is alot of though behind the design. This mini torch is no exception. After using it for a couple hours in a row, it's solid and probably my favorite torch of all 25 I bought. I highly recommend, I am using it professionally, trigger are very good and the trigger ergonomic and easy to use. For 25$ bucks it has no competition....Edit: second day of use the torch broke,so!! to the garbage... The only torch that I still have and is working flawlessly is my Dremel torch to this day (6 years old or+) let's say that master appliance have still a very good design, but probably very cheap parts and bad assembly.

There's a lot to like about this small torch. From the handheld size to the handy controls, this torch has what you need. If I were to complain about anything at all on this torch, it would be the difficulty of using it completely one-handed, as I had originally intended to use it in the first place. Honestly, in many cases you should probably be lighting a torch with both hands anyway, so the lack of a one-handed ignition probably isn't a really big deal. And it works very well, and is easy to change the size and heat of the flame. Plus, the included heat shields are a nice added bonus as well. All in all, I'd recommend this unit for anyone needing a handheld torch for small jobs.

As another reviewer mentioned, the black 'stand' on this thing doesn't stay on it, but you barely need it. If you feel it's important you might be able to secure it better with some adhesive or something. It takes two hands to operate since you have to pull the safety button first, then pull the trigger, then if you want it to stay on with out holding the trigger - you have to set that from the back. But it does provide the flame and it's adjustable. And if you really wanted to, you could probably bypass the safety mechanism, not that I would endorse doing that. Kind of like bypassing the safety on a lighter back in the day. I really haven't used this yet so I don't know how long a charge of butane will last, but I imagine this will be quite handy for anything I want to use it for. I could see it being useful for camping, like lighting campfires and such. I can also see it being useful for soldering and heat shrink tubing. It seems to be built well and the price was right.

The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the MT-70 worked (other than it takes 2 hands to light) but the other torch is garbage, the cigarette lighter goes inside of it but not well. Also mine leaked on arrival so it's unsafe to use. The big torch is ok.. wish I could see how full it was. My advice for the same amount of money get a better product. P.S even with prime it took 2 weeks to show up

Was doing fine for a few minutes. Upon trying to turn it back on it wouldn't light (no gas coming out). Went to fill thinking it was empty of which it was not. Dead in the water. Went to Lowes and bought a benzomatic version of this that worked for hours.
