3d print the battery mount and slip this in. Or model this to fit in a part- way safer than some of the janky designs I've seen. Attach wires with right angle flag connectors and they sit flush on back.DONT USE THIS WITHOUT A LOW VOLTAGE CUTOFF CHIP! MAKITA BATTERIES DO NOT HAVE IT BUILT IN. You'll either brick your battery or start a fire.
