This is an entire kit, not just a single helping-hands stand. The stand is powder coated metal, and every arm, vice, stand, or light has a magnetic base that can be placed anywhere on the stand base. It's incredibly flexible in what you can do with it.The base has a hole in it that looks like it could be used to hang it out of the way on the wall when not in use. The magnets are strong enough that nothing would slide off if it were to be stored this way, which is also a great bonus.It comes with a magnifier light that is plenty bright, but not so bright as to wash things out. It's just right for getting fine soldering work done.It's hard to get into too much detail here, because it's a helping hands unit, and those are fairly well understood by those that need them. This is far an away the best designed, most flexible, well thought-out implementation I've seen, particularly for the price. It's very sturdy, and you can really feel that in the weight.Importantly, the clip arms stay put when you move them. There's hardly any bounce back, so they feel like they just do as they're told. I love this, and will likely have to get another one, as my son has coopted this one for his workbench.

I have been using this a while now and been testing it at work. Let's just say that the shop purchased two more of these since everyone was in love with them.
