The product is amazing, great quality and great performance. The only reason I give 4 stars is because of the price, it’s really pricey. Otherwise I love everything else about them. I am buying more in the future but I’m hoping the price drops just a little.

The light is bright and well built. You can see the quality right away and it seems that it will hold great in the saltwater environment. The two color led and dimming function that works with one simple on off switch is awesome. Turn on the switch and the light starts dimming up. A quick off on flip of the switch and the light stays at that light output setting. Turn it off and on again and the light changes color and starts dimming up again. If you don't flip the switch off and on quickly the light will go to the max lumen setting.

Purchased two of these 3 years and 1 month ago to replace the original halogen spreader lights. Chose these as they had good reviews and thought that for the high price they should have good durability and reliability. I used them 2-3 hours total each month over the 3 years. This weekend turned the switch on and one was very dim and the second one was flashing. When the switch was quick cycled, to change the color, one light turned off, the second remained on dim white light. Cut the wires near the lights and applied 12V DC directly to the lights and they behaved the same, no color change, and one is dim and one is flashing. So, I am not happy with their life span at the high price, especially that they stopped working exactly at the end of their warranty period. The lights do not show any signs of corrosion on the exterior.

Use this to replace a Lumitec Maxillume II 2000 lumens LED that failed after ten years. This light, while half the bightness at 1000 lumens, is more than adequate to light up the flybridge on my boat. And, being able to switch to red is great at night.
