does what it should, the only complaint i have is the small screws they send you to attach the brackets to the box are too small, the holes in the box are bigger than the screws so they are useless, and they are a very short screw. I was able to use some ground screws (4) out of 2 other electrical boxes i had laying around but kind of an annoying oversight for something so simple.

The floor receptacle works well and looks great. I especially like the flat profile, vs some receptacles that have a pop up plug. Just be sure you can run your wires, especially in a reno situation.

This item is definitely "commercial grade" as it claims in the description. The top is made of solid brass and has all the components (except sealant to make it truly watertight) required for a straightforward installation.

Nice, sturdy brass faceplate and easy to follow instructions. I'm not the quickest DIYer but it took me around two hours to install and wire everything. As you can see in the pics, I masked it off first to avoid scratching the floor with my jigsaw and just followed the simple instructionsI added two 8" extension cords (available from Amazon) to plug in couple of power bricks for reclining furniture because the recessed outlets would be impossible to plug into without them. The only other thing you might need that is not included is a wire clamp for the 1/2" knockout.

Solid thick quality brass. Instruction were easy for me to read, but follow the cutout exactly as there is little tolerance. Made in Mexico. You'll be hard pressed to find one made in the USA unless its NOS.

Expensive but the cover is solid brass. This is much better than the cheaper one found in the large home improvement orange store. Also, it comes with a gasket and covers to make it waterproof.
