EDIT: As it turns out I'm dumb. While it's true that the meter does not indicate continuity (NOT low resistance) through this strap, whatever the cord is made of is conductive enough to carry a static electrical discharge. After receiving another wrist strap from another vendor that also fails the continuity test, I did some rubbing the balloon on the hair and trying to shock things and the strap actually was effective in carrying the charge from my wrist and out the clip. So, my bad, now I have two. I actually prefer this one with the elastic wrist band to the other one I bought with a Velcro strap.Old review: Either someone is selling placebos or there was a bad batch produced because this grounding strap had one job, to provide a path for electrical discharge from wrist to ground, and it fails at that job. Because of some other reviews I used a multimeter to check continuity between the wrist pad and the clip, and to my surprise there was none. It seems that the conductor in the lead is not making contact with the termination at the wrist strap end, looks like a manufacturing defect to me. Unfortunately I can't just solder the lead to the termination like I could if the problem was at the alligator clip end, so this strap is pretty useless as is. Going to try another make / model.

I can barely use it, it will leave marks on my skin as it is just too tight at full capacity. If you have thick wrists, you may want to look elsewhere.

Haven't burned any sensitive device yet, which means it works!I like that its curled cable is not lengthy, hence its not bulky and not in the way of my work. The only thing I had to change - used hot flame (hot solder iron will work) to smoothen the hard edges, that scratched my skin. After it was trained for my wrist, everything is perfect and doesn't distract me.I recommend it.

The wrist strap is not adjustable and must be worn closer to the elbow (thicker part of arm). It would be much better if there was a variable length strap. However it still does work well.

Great little antistatic wrist strap. It is adjustable, so can be altered to take different wrist sizes or stretch into account.

For many years I worked with military avionic hardware and was well aware of and trained in the possibility of hardware damage due to ESD shock. It's less of a concern in areas where the humidity is high like where I live now. If you get a shock touching a doorknob or another item, ESD damage is possible and you need a strap like this. Most of the time, you don't even know that damage has occurred. The item simply doesn't work anymore and you troubleshoot the problem down to a "bad" chip. In too many cases, improper handling causes the chips to become bad. In general, there is less of a concern if chips are "in circuit" rather than being handled separately. And, yes, I am guilty of not always using a "strap". For starters, make sure that one hand is touching the chassis or ground before you touch the circuit. (Of course, remove the power first!).This product is a very economical way to add ESD protection. I thought the strap coiled cord was very flexible and did not really restrict my movements. What I did to facilitate use of this strap was to first modify a "3 prong plug" by cutting it off an unused power cord. DON'T connect the hot and return pins to anything if you enjoy LIVING! The third pin, the big, fat, ground pin, is connected to a "banana" jack receptacle. Then, you plug the banana jack plug on this strap into this banana receptacle. If you don't understand what I'm talking about, don't do it! I don't have any money so don't bother suing me if you're electrocuted!! Actually, it looks like the strap is isolated from the banana plug by about a megohm. I'm not anxious to connect my wrist to a wall outlet either!I don't use this all of the time. Do your homework as to which parts you use are more or less susceptible to ESD. Always wearing this or another strap is the best policy and usually required if you work in industry.

Muy buen acabado y materiales por el precio. El único detalle es que para personas con muñecas delgadas, queda un poco flojo, por lo que hay que estarlo ajustando.
