Owning a standing desk is awesome! But one thing I miss over other desks is storage, and a big one is a keyboard tray! I’ve tried a number of options but none have worked for my needs. Standing desks with the beam in the middle can pose a challenge when it comes to fitting a keyboard tray. Most keyboard trays are made for standard desks, where they have all the underside of the desk to fit so clearance tends to not be an issue. Some keyboard trays are metal and other are made of cheap plastic, neither of these are ideal as metal is heavy and can have sharp edges that dig into your legs, and plastic breaks if you just tap it. The Anthrodesk tray is a little different. The main tray is made of a fiberglass composite with a nice quality wrist rest and slip proof pads to hold your keyboard in place. You also have a little thick rubber stopper running along the top of the tray to prevent anything from sliding off. This material is well made and strong. The hardware and arm are all heavy gauge steel, the same as many of the products from Anthrodesk. The tray is held on the arm with 4 bolts and the whole assembly is attached to the desk with screws.Something I wanted to mention is the screws, I’ve put more furniture together than I’d like to admit and one thing I’ve learned is how companies cut corners, and screws are one way you can! With this Anthrodesk keyboard tray they put in wide thread screws. Why this is so important is when it comes to wood or particle type boards, the wider the spacing in the thread the better it’s going to hold into the wood. If you go with a fine thread with very little spacing between them, in a short period of time these types of screws will pull right out. I know it’s a small detail but, this is where I gauge if a company really put thought into a product, and it’s plain to see this keyboard tray has been well thought out!The keyboard tray is a little over 25 inches wide, which gives you room for a full-size keyboard and mouse. There are also features found on this keyboard tray that you will not find on other trays, such as a fully adjustable arm that is retractable but can also be adjusted up and down depending on your writing position. The whole tray pulls in and out on a ball bearing rail system which is very smooth. For me the best feature is the ability to swivel the keyboard tray all the way around. This comes in handy in two ways, if you sit off to one side of your desk you can swivel the keyboard to you even if it’s mounted in the middle of the desk. But the best thing is you can fully swivel the tray out of the way when not in use as I do.I’ve been using products from Anthrodesk for a few years now and nothing I’ve bought or reviewed has disappointed me. The metals are very thick, high quality, and materials don’t disappoint. I’ve also found their prices to be very competitive. I’ve seen similar keyboard trays on Amazon that run around $140 to $170 so for a price that’s under $100 bucks, it’s awesome.I know that might feel like a line, but if you know me, you’d know, you’re getting an honest opinion whether you want it or not! I feel it needs to be said as I’ve been reviewing products for over 10 years and it’s so refreshing to see a company offering a quality product at an affordable price. But if it doesn’t work for you, all products have a full “Risk Free” 30-day return policy, so you’re covered.

I have been using this keyboard tray for a few weeks now and have found it to be almost perfect. It is sturdy, and the swivel mechanism holds tightly so the board does not bend when you lean on it.I use a stand up desk and bought this tray because it has a short slide for under the desk. However, it is still a bit too long to allow for full under desk retraction of the tray when you have the mechanism for a stand up desk in the middle of the underside of the desk. This is not a flaw in the keyboard tray because the size came and was exactly as described. To swing the tray under the desk requires that you undo the large handle on the right side, which is inconvenient for frequent slides. Again, this is not a flaw as the tray works exactly as described. But if you're looking for the full slide capability with a stand up desk, you may have to figure out a different way to achieve this result.I use an ergonomic keyboard which is wider than a standard keyboard, and if this tray were about 1" wider it would fit perfectly. As it is, my keyboard sits on the edges (I had to remove the wrist rest to allow for the bigger keyboard) and I find I have to adjust it frequently. The same goes with the overall length. I would like about another inch. This is because I have the bigger keyboard and so my mouse is just a bit further away from what would be the normal keyboard edge. The result is that I have knocked my mouse off the ledge quite a few times. So if you have a standard keyboard and mouse, I feel that this keyboard tray is excellent value for the money and would work well under a standard desk.

Dimensions confused me. It won't hide away full flush with counter top. But it can go up high and angle well for my needs. It's a little small for my large ergo KB but I can still manage

Excellent on a new standing desk that had a support beam running at 12" of depth. This keyboard has a 11" track which worked great. No wobbling so far either. Multiple angles and side tilting is great for keeping good posture.Took the wrist rest off to accommodate a split keyboard and an ergo mouse.

You have the option of installing it so that the keyboard completely recesses under the desk in which case it doesn't clear the desk when you extend it out. Or you have the option of installing it so that when extended, the keyboard clears the desk, but when you push back in, about 4" sticks out. Bad design.

I bought an industrial style desk with less than 20" to work with for the mount, so I couldn't go with a standard-sized drawer. This drawer is just perfect and is nice and sturdy.

I spent a long time going through the various options on Amazon before choosing this one. I am glad I made the right decision. It is wide enough and sturdy enough. The adjustability both fore and aft as well as sideways means that even if I did not put the mounting bracket in exactly the right place, it doesn't matter as it can compensate for that. I am very pleased with the choice I made.I have been using this for a while now. It is an excellent unit. Very stable and adjustable. I took one star off because the track should be considerably longer. To make use of its full mobility, it has to always protrude from beneath the desk. If that is not an issue for you , this is an excellent choice. I am living with it.

For a product that was 100$, it is quite sturdy although I did find the installation a bit rough. After that, the setup is quite good for everyday purposes.
