fit tightly into the unit. was worried from other reviews that said it fit loosely and needed a bit of foam to seal. As to whether they are equal to the original I can't really say. They are much cheaper so perhaps I may just replace them earlier. My purifier's sound levels are exactly the same with these filters in as with the original.

With technology changing so quickly, I am happy that I am able to continue to purchase the same filters for the model I already have. I am very impressed with the quality of the filters and they are very effective.

Tried buying the generic brand because the price tag was much better than OEM. It's satisfactory however I noticed the fit is a bit looser than the OEM filter because the foam sealing band is switched out for a carbon filter material sealing band which means non-HEPA filtered air will get past the circumference of the filter cartridge. How much air? Probably not enough to care about but it would be a path of least resistance. So if you really need 100% filtration, stick with OEM. If you're alright with something like 80-85% filtered air, go with this.

When it's too cold to leave the windows open a good air filter means not only fresh smelling air but better health. Super fast and easy to replace. I will keep buying them.
