I needed to update the lighting in my workshop and started replacing the old fluorescent bulbs with direct fit (rewire to 120V style) LED bulbs in the fluorescent fixtures. When I started this project a couple years ago the 4 foot LED bulbs were wired at only one end, with the opposite end only being a support, but no power going to it. By the time the remainder of my fluorescent ballasts started failing the LED bulbs being sold were all wired at each end, line at one end and neutral at the other, and I didn't want to mix wiring types in the shop to avoid replacing a bulb in a wrongly wired fixture. So I searched Amazon and came across these new style LED fixtures, with super-bright Lumen values, at very good prices, so decided to eliminate all the old fluorescent fixtures completely and replace them with these new ones. Great decision. The shop is brighter than has ever been. There isn't a dark place in the building any longer, and I replaced the fluorescent lighting with about half the number of bulbs I'd originally had, with a significant reduction in power usage to boot. These LED bulb fixtures come with all the wiring you need for various types of connection. The direct connect wires are very small gauge, (24 gauge), and when connecting to existing shop wiring of 12 or 14 gauge wiring, made using marrettes and twist connections unreliable, so I purchased Wago connectors from Amazon, along with a ferrule crimp set. I crimped a solid ferrule on the end of each direct connect 24 gauge wire, and then connected these to the shop wiring with the Wago connecters ensuring a solid connection between 2 very different gauges of wire. These lights have been operating flawlessly, without a single failure so far, for over 7 months, with lots of on-off cycles daily. The low profile of these fixtures also allowed me to mount a few in low clearance areas above the garage door rails, where there was no clearance for a traditional fixture before, eliminating a large previously dark work area in the shop. Overall, I've been very happy with the performance of this item. I highly recommend both the item and the seller based on my experience so far.

I put these in my shop/garage fluorescent fixtures as A retrofit. I got to keep my fluorescent fixtures in place, which were T12, they were brighter than the 6500 bulbs in those fixtures originally and they’re the perfect color. Not blue. Just bright white. The rewire was simple to bypass the ballast…. for those inclined. No buzzing. They are absolutely silent and the garage is lit. Much better with no flicker especially in the cold weather. Very happy with this purchase.

Just purchased 60 bulbs and not one was bad. I did have one that was dented but it still worked so I did not contact the seller. I have been working in the dark for the past 20 years in comparison to what my shop looks like now. I do woodworking in my basement shop and have had 52 florescent bulbs in 13 fixtures. I'm amazed at how bight it is without being too bright. It's an amazing difference. after doing this I want to tell everyone to come see it because its such a different work space. This is a first impression review so hopefully I can come back in 6 months and give a follow up positive review. Changing over to the replacement LED's was no big deal, cutting out the ballasts and putting in new tombstones was not a problem at all. I highly recommend this transition as of this writing.hope this helps someone who is thinking of doing the change over.

The LED replacements for regular fluorescent tubes advertise a years-long life span; I converted all my home fluorescent ceiling fixtures (21 in all) to LED-type B fixtures. The Type B fixture has only one powered end (positive & negative); the other end is a dead "tombstone". The typical average wattage use for my old lights is about 150 watts per unit. So the wattage used if all are on is 21 x 150 watts or 3150 watts of electricity. The change over to the LED tubes puts the wattage used as 21 x 18 watts or 378 watts so it is a big savings if all the tubes are on. The LED tubes are so bright that I actually only use one tube in each unit.In my change over to LED tubes, I used Hyperion LED tubes purchased from Amazon. They were installed 5 years ago and today 20 tubes are working just fine. One tube burned out (shorted out?) a month or so ago. Hyperion LED tubes are no longer available from Amazon. It is now confusing to find replacement LED tubes because some are powered from both ends of the unit just like the old fluorescent tubes. These tubes are labeled type A. Others are tubes that are powered only from one end known as type B which are harder to find. The third type is labeled type A&B. I bought one of these from Ace Hardware and it did not work in my type B unit. The JESLED unit from Amazon is labeled type A&B. The online description of the unit shows how to install it in a type B unit and the description matched how my LED units are set up. I took the chance that these tubes would work. I installed it as per the supplied diagram and it worked just fine; just like the Hyperion tubes. I could not buy just one tube from Amazon; the smallest lot available is a 4-tube set. So I now have replacements, which is a good idea anyway. The LED tubes arrive very well packaged in individual tube boxes within a very sturdy exterior carton. I highly recommend the JESLED product.

The bulbs that we bought worked out wonderfully. They arrived in a timely manner and really lit up our sign the way we were hoping. The 60” initial length was too long and they were very accommodating and made custom length ones that were 57 1/2 inches to fit the length that we needed for a flourescent retrofit. I will definitely order from them again.

Great for shop, garage, art studio. Very bright. Easy to install. Linking together makes wiring simpler. Would be nice if longer connecting wires were available (had do do some soldering for some).
