Might be a little thinner rubber than the original, but it fit well and was easy to install. My first repair was one of the push in from the top gaskets ( also on Amazon) and it was hugely disappointing as it just kept moving around, including down the disposal. This one is the kind where you have to spin off the collar underneath the sink and remove old gasket and replace with this one. Takes about 5 minutes and is totally worth it.

Our old baffle had lost much of its shape and somehow parts of rubber. It was time for a new baffle.I read online that the new "push in" (i.e. from the top, no disassembly required) style does not always stay where you want it too. So despite the pain of installing this I thought it would be the best route.I first checked Home Depot. They wanted about $5 more for this part. My Amazon order arrived and I went right to work. I first unhooked the drain pipe (simply unscrew...very easy.) Then remembered to unplug the unit...better late than never I guess. I highly recommend rubber gloves for the next part: removed the old baffle and clean around edges underneath. A very pleasant job I must say. While the baffle is off, check to make sure there is no debris inside the disposal. Mine had what looked like old plumbers putty in it.Next I opened the package and thought, "oh no, it's the wrong baffle!" It really didn't look right or what I expected it to look like around the edge. But upon closer examination it is the same as the old one, so I attempted to push it on and it worked. It's a single walled design, where I was expecting a sort of dual wall with an edge that fit over the lip. I'm sure that makes no sense at all, but buy one and install it and perhaps you will see what I mean.A note on getting the disposal to mount up to the sink: use a car jack (the one in the trunk that operates by turning the screw.) I tried mounting to the 3 prong "quick release" collar without a jack and it wasn't going to happen. I'd get the front on and the back would be off, and vice versa. But with the jack I could hold the unit up easily and use both hands to align the collar. Easy! This baffle makes the disposal instantly quieter and I've seen no difference in water draining speeds. It allows food into the disposal easily too. Perfect.
