it works great. I ordered this because the 74003946 ignighter for my Maytag model AZL8580ADB cooktop has been discontinued. I had to remove the knob stem from the old ignighter and put it on this one so that the knob would stay on. That just involved removing the C clip.

Always check your wirung first! The ends dry, crumple and break. I kept my wires, but crimped new fittings on them. Secure them to the new or old working unit for travel in an RV.
