Our spikes are made with tungsten carbide - the same tough steel used in high speed router bits - and are encased in an alloy steel housing. This model is lightweight and easy to stow and works on most types of footwear, making it great for city use. The outer band is made from natural rubber and features a performance strap. Every Canadian over the age of 65 should have these! They resolve all worries about slipping on the ice when walking in winter. I cannot imagine how many broken bones from falls on the ice could be avoided with these! They are excellent!

It's too small for shoes with size 10 (men)

Bought these for hiking; wrong tool for the job. Biggest problem is that they don't work on packed snow or angled and non-flat surfaces (terrain). Also, often slip out of position and need readjustment. Probably only good for icy pavements. Would strongly suggest to get the pointy spikes for hiking instead.

Ice trekkers are a perfect product when you have to walk on ice. I use them to walk my dog. They offer great security and provide superb traction when you have to walk on ice covered asphalt or ground.

J'ai acheté, il y a quelques années, la taille S/M. Je les adore! J'aimerais en recommander une paire, mais la taille ne semble plus disponible??? Est-ce que la compagnie en fait toujours???

I also like the strap to hold it in place and that it truly fits all boots.

I have used these multiple times in ice and they provide great traction I was able to work and not lose my step. These were a life saver and very easy to take on and off if needed. I liked them so much I ordered 4 pairs for back up.

At first look, you wouldn't be impressed by these. I wasn't,At first look, you wouldn't be impressed by these. I wasn't, then I tried them. I was wrong! I wish I had tried these much earlier. They fit snuggly over my shoes, and the top strap gives me the assurance they will not slip off. I had the opportunity to wear several times this year. They are GREAT!! Snow and ice wont stop me anymore. I will be ordering more for next winter season, as my friends are all clamoring for a set. BEST Buy ever!

This review is only based on fit, since I haven’t tried them on ice yet. I have a pair of diamond ice trekkers that I have had for about 10 years. The diamond ice trekkers work great but the metal has rusted somewhat. I still use them. I bought these because they are lighter and easier to put in your coat pocket. I take a men’s size 11 shoe. I bought the L/XL and these are difficult to get over my boots and barely fit. They are useable, but I would not buy them for any boot over size 11 in the L/XL size. I believe when I ordered them they showed the size as L fitting up to a size 12. The trekkers that arrived are marked L/XL, so my guess is if you order XL, you will get the same pair I received.

Other than being quite tough to put on my shoes, and yes, I bought the correct size, the ice cleats work very well.

Living in Wisconsin and dealing with our harsh conditions can be very dangerous. I walk daily during all seasons of the year and these traction cleats are by far the best I have found. Conditions change from one place to another and from one day to another, from bare sidewalks to snow to ice and back. The cleats are small enough to really dig into the ice and still provide good traction on snow. When on bare sidewalks, they don't slip. Generally, these only last for 1 season, as the rubber that holds the cleats together tends to wear through with daily use. I don't find this an issue because the price of a pair of cleats more than outweighs the potential cost of an emergency room visit.
