This product is faulty, we purchased for my mom for Christmas 2024, by the end of Feb it quit working, won’t hold a charge past about 5 seconds. Two months??? She probably only uses it once a week, she’s 86. Not very happy!! There is no way to contact Amazon when you have an issue!!

After owning a hoover cordless stick vac previously, I opted for this one as I already have batteries I can interchange.I found the suction subpar (the old on I had to be careful bc it sucked up chunks of my floor lol). This one isn't great for pet hair and dust. It leaves a lot behind vs the traditional brush. The rug doesn't get as fluffed when I am done.I find it to be a lot heavier than other models and the way it maneuvers hurts my wrist. The head is larger than other models and I used to be able to vacuum between my toilet/tub and now I can't. It's too bulkyI figured I would sacrifice the option to have the suction tool and it wouldn't be a big deal but with the head not fitting and the suction not getting to the baseboards, I regret this purchase.Only gave 2 stars bc the battery life is good for a stick vac.

I Have had a Hoover Lynx for more than a decade and needed a new one. It has been discontinued and this Hoover ONEPWR Evolve Pet Elite has replaced it! HA!! It is not of much use. It does not get close to the edges of the cabinets and does not clean at the sides of the roller. Its is a great disappointment to me.

I was really excited to get a new vacuum because our previous one (same brand) has lasted for over 8 years! (Yes, it is still operational but we need a 2nd one)2nd time we used it the roller stopped rolling and then the whole thing stopped vacuuming- a ‘warning’ light would flash when turned on, but nothing else happened. We got it replaced with a new one in May 2024… so a little over 4 months and now 3 out of 5 times we try to use it the roller stops and the little warming light comes on again.I don’t really have time to see what’s up with it every time I want to vacuum. I expect my vacuum to be ready for use when I need it and this is just frustrating and annoying

This vacuum is convenient as it is cordless but it doesn’t clean well enough at high speeds and doesn’t last more than 10 minutes before needing recharging

My first cordless vacuum was a Hoover Linx. It was a nifty little vacuum that was easy to grab to do a quick cleanup. I could give the whole condo a quick touchup without emptying the dust cup. I especially liked the removable battery that could be charged discretely. No need to have the vacuum standing out in the open next to an outlet to charge. I also have a full size Dyson, but sometimes you just don't need the big guns. Plus I have a lady that comes to clean every other week. After six years of service, the bottom floor piece broke off the upright. Apparently, that was the Linx's weakness. I was ready to order another one, but it was discontinued. I ended up with one of those multifunction Dyson lookalikes, because it had a removable battery. Among its multifunctions, it did nothing well. It wouldn't touch my German Shepherd's hair. I have a nice hand vac, so I didn't need that. When I vacuumed, all the extra tools kept falling off the handle, until I ended up throwing them out. I couldn't even finish one room without having to stop and empty the tiny dust cup. The center of gravity, motor and battery, was up at the handle making it awkward and when you're old, a bit tiring to handle. I finally had enough, and sent it to that great broom closet in the sky. This time, I ordered the Hoover Evolve Pet Elite and I've been very happy with it. It has everything I like, removable battery for charging, large dust cup, low center of gravity so the floor carries most of the weight, nimble and easy to grab for touchups. It's like my good old Linx only better and more powerful. This one even gets the dog hair off the Persians. And I have learned a lesson. Having a tool that does one thing well can be better than one that does several things poorly.

We already own a Dyson V15 detect, BUT we have always had a second vacuum for quick fast clean ups. We had the prior model...now I can't think of the name...but after many years it died and is no longer made. I grew up with HOOVER vacuums so for me it's almost a sentimental thing too :) This vacuum works GREAT overall. I had seen many reviews even videos where the brush would stop if you end up going over different length carpet?.. We have had zero issues with the brush stopping be it over plush, short...or even a nice wool area rug. Brush has zero issues, and it does NOT collect hair! I wanted this Hoover mostly because it was one of the few vacuums where you can just use the suction, and turn the brush OFF over say...wood flooring. In the end...We ended up not using that feature as the brush doesn't scratch OUR wood or vinyl floors....just use the brush on low to medium power. Two things I am not thrilled about. One is the head is not really suitable for stairs. It seems connected only by plastic tubing. I did see reviews where that tubing ripped...and I would imagine if you constantly pick up this vacuum and let the heavy head part just be suspended by the plastic tubing, over tome that COULD be a weak point. Second gripe is the battery. It is NOT bad...but for such a a large looking kinda heavy battery, battery life is not GREAT but it is pretty good. We like the machine has lights as you vacuum, like that it can stand up without leaning it or using some sort of mount like the Dyson. Overall it's a very NICE vacuum...esp if maybe just suing it more for quicker clean-ups or you don't have OCD and need every millimeter cleaned. The Dyson V15 is perhaps in a diff class, but it's also very heavy and a bit of a pain to use, and twice the price.....so GO Hoover!

First of all, I have owned 2 Hoover Linx vacs. I bought one in '15 and one in '16. Understandably, one of them died but I do still have the one. Eight years is spectacular for a battery powered vac. I searched and searched for the Linx which is no longer available. I imagine this is the upgraded version of the Linx. When I took it out of the box, the instructions said to push the handle into the vac opening and push down till it clicks. I pushed as hard as I could but never did hear a clicking sound but I thought as hard as I pushed, it should be ok. I also charged the battery. When I tried to turn the vac on, it would not come on, despite trying several things. I googled for trouble shooting but never really found anything. Customer service is only available M-F, 9-3, despite saying 9-6 on the instruction sheet. Also, the instructions said there are "no serviceable parts" to this vac. Hmmmmm. After all that, I thought, this thing is going back. We had to figure out how to get the handle back out of the vac. To do that, there is a small hole in which you place a small screwdriver. Pushing into that hole releases the handle. Once we did this, it must have "seated" the handle so it worked! I was very happy about that UNTIL I went to turn it off. It would not turn off despite pressing the on/off button numerous times. I had to remove the battery to shut it off. By this time, I am totally burned out from fooling with it and have decided to send it back. I'll look for something else. The Hoover Linx is the best stick vac ever made, imo. It worked like a charm and the filtration system was very easy to disassemble. After every few uses, I'd take very everything apart and wash it. I see many people happy with this model, but it did not work for me.

This was our first cordless vac and I have to say it is a game changer. As long as you keep on top of charging the battery, it is so much better than a corded unit for ease of just grabbing it and using it. The vacuum head swivels and the the low mounted LED headlights really show the dust on hardwood floors well. The bag less canister is easy to clean out. The design for vacuum power, weight, and weight distribution is so well thought through.BUT, our unit (model BH53801V) had a problem with less than 10 uses: the brush roller stopped turning. The drive end of the roller also had melted plastic so something got hot. Several reviews here mention the problem so it is not an isolated case. Of course I don't know what fraction of units had that problem--or exactly what was the cause.I did put in a warranty claim with Hoover. There was some back and forth that took weeks but in the end they shipped me a replacement unit under warranty. I was not able to get them to answer what I can do to prevent that same problem in my replacement unit but nevertheless I am satisfied that Hoover did honor the warranty without too much wrangling. From my first email to delivery of the replacement took just about three weeks. The battery (20V, 4Ah) lasts only about 20 minutes in the Medium setting so I bought a second battery to have a quick change. Just like a cordless drill it is easy to remove and replace the battery.I have to say that it is the best vac I have ever used. I do hope the stuck roller doesn't happen again but when everything is working I think it is an excellent product overall.

I'm not sure why the Hoover Evolve Pet Elite Vacuum is getting bad reviews. I've been using it for a week now and I have no major issues at all. It's definitely more bulky than the original Linx model I owned. I also haven't taken the filter mechanism apart, but even if it takes awhile, this is still a strong and very capable vac. The cleaning head easily fits under countertops with overhangs. The weight of the battery, dust cup, motor, etc is mostly well balanced unlike other machines where everything sits at the top. As others have mentioned, the unit stands freely on its own. The battery charger isn't tied directly to the vacuum, so I can easily stow the vacuum inside a closet out of sight. I did order the eight amp hour "beast" battery which was very pricey, but it should yield plenty of extra run time on the high setting. I've had zero issues with the brush roll shutting off on higher pile carpet. For small dust and light weight particles on bare floors, I recommend using the low setting, otherwise they will get tossed across the floor.I would absolutely recommend purchasing this model vacuum cleaner!
