the quality of the plastic clip is dollar store worthy. it WILL break. doesnt hold on strongly. fixed plastic clip with no rough edges for friction to hold on. didnt even bother turning on the camera as the clip is as important as the camera itself. discontinue this item.

So right out of the gate I will be stating the following:I really dig this camera and was vary disappointed when it came time to look at my pictures.. With all of this cameras potential waisted on a cheap sensor that ruined the overall grade of my review. I find it perplexing that all the effort put into the design and overall experience. Is overshadowed buy poor decisions and a lack of refinement ware it counts the most. 3.7 out of 5. This said, for those looking for a casual device that can be a fun way to share stills and video. With family, friends and social media. Then this might be the right tool for the job. If overall picture quality doesn't matter to you.The build 4 out of 5:This camera is built for mid to low level use, It offers a fully waterproof body up to IPX6. It features a fully air tight enclosure including the lenses and screens. The buttons are well placed and easy to navigate once learned. All toggles feature a good click feel. But the main trigger is a bit loose and even a small bump can cause false triggering of pictures or videos. This model boasts an integrated LED Flash+ flashlight. Yet isn't vary useful unless you are close to the subject. It also adds a blueish hue to most pictures. With poor CRI, it will create false and dingy colours. That look flat with no vibrancy. There is a 2200Mah battery that can be charged within the main body. The swivel camera:You can rotate the camera head 180 degrees, from top to bottom. Effectively turning the screen towards or away from you depending on what you'd prefer. It also allows you to shoulder mount the camera and shoot forwards and backwards ( ahead or behind ) if you need to do so.The screen 3.5 out of 5:With a 1.3-inch rear screen this camera offers good display brightness but has a narrow viewing angle Before colours and brightness become muted. The screen also lacks in resolution and vibrancy. The sensor+picture quality 2.5 out of 5:This sensor says 1080p but the picture quality looks more like a 720p with overall softer and muddier appearance in pixels and sharpness. It looks like 720p footage from an iPhone 3... So it really lacks refinement. Even the sensors overall noise is higher then expected. This includes in brighter APL scenes that should lower the cameras internal Iso. But they still exhibit noisy shadows and extremely blown out highlights. The camera can't render any type of HDR correctly. It will try but struggles to find a bracketing point. The white balance is another issue, Just like the dynamic range. It can't find the proper balance always fluctuating from cool to warm.Colour rendition 3.5 out of 5:Another soft point of this sensor is the internal colour science. Nothing looks right from the overall poor rendition of the primary colours. To how they mix in the GPU. Skin tones look orange or blue, colour clips and has banding issues when going from dark to light. It really is a hot mess that hampers the potential for greatness.Final thoughts: 3.5 out of 5This camera has many great things going for it and it pains me to give it such a low grade. But I need to be real and bring you guys the truth. This is a fantastic overall product that really suffers from a poor sensor and colour science. It detracts from the rest of this models greatness. Even the colour choices for the main body a nice muted black with subtle refractive coating looks great. The buttons feel good, screens, ease of use, good battery life rugged, flexible and compact. This unit could have been a highly recommended product. Sadly it cannot live up to it's full potential. But if you don't care about overall professional level pictures or videos. Then this is a great product that will bring you hours of enjoyment and enhance you're vacation. Buy allowing you to show more candid content to you're family and friends.

This camera has a very intuitive interface, which makes it easy and foolproof to turn it on to record instantly when the need arises. Simply move the slider on the right side up to start recording video and move it back down to stop recording and save the video. Likewise, move the slider up to start recording audio only and move it back down to stop recording and save. For reviewing recordings, it has a bright LCD screen and straightforward controls to select, view, and skip through recordings. Deletion is initiated by pressing the menu button in the "play" mode. The firmware has settings for 4K video and 40MB photo resolution, but these appear to use interpolated upscaling from the native sensor resolution of 1080 FHD (Full High Definition). I found that I achieved the best results leaving resolution at the default settings of 1080FHD for video and 21MB for still photos. It came with a 64GB micro-SD card, which is plenty large enough for me. The video gets divided into 5-minute or 10-minute segments that are overwritten as space on the card is required. It can handle up to a 128GB card formatted in Fat32. The manual warns that formatting the card must be donw on the camera, rather than on a PC.Press the "next" button during recording to protect any current video or audio from being overwritten. You will see a key icon on the screen and the file will have to be manually unlocked using the menu before you can delete it.A short press of the menu button toggles between three modes:(1) "Standby" -- displays a standby icon in the upper left, a preview image from the camera on the screen, the recording duration available (?) in the upper right, the selected resolution for video below that, battery status in the lower right, a micro-SD icon above the battery status, and the date and time at the bottom of the screen. It also indicates the setting for the duration of each video file before splitting will be (in this case 5 minutes) and the exposure setting.(2) "Still Photo" -- with a camera icon in the upper left, icons for the exposure and white balance settings below that, number of photos that will fit on the card (?) and resolution in the upper right. Also has a "star" icon (purpose unknown) and the usual micro-SD card and battery status in the lower right.(3) "Play" -- with a file icon in the upper left, the name and resolution of the media file in the upper right, and an "OK Play" indicator in the lower left, along with the date and battery status in the lower right. When plugged into a computer with the included cable, the device gives you a choice to allow it to act as a USB drive for managing recordings or as a webcam. The webcam settings worked really well for me under Windows 10.The lens rotates 180 degrees so you can place this unobtrusively in a pocket or clipped onto a jacket or shirt, or else use it in a sort-of "selfie" mode with the camera and the LCD facing you. There is a red flashing light while recording, but that can be turned off in settings. It also has a motion sensing mode that can be very handy. It charges with USB-C and the battery looks to last for a full 8 hours minimum.I really like everything about this camera. I don't have any notes. I think it could be used in a professional context with no trouble at all.I think we might as well get used to everyone having a camera all the time. We probably need controls to prevent recoring in truly private situations, and to prevent hurtful publication for no purpose other than to embarrass or harm others, but, in general, the possibility of a camera being present is a good influence on behaviour. I think this camera is great for safety, protection, and to encourage honest and respectful interactions.

Pros:I hide this unit inside my duty belt loop with a self created sheath. The clipp that comes with, pops very easily! Because of where the record button is, i can pop it up and activate the recorder in one quick motion. Once you get familiar with the button functions it becomes fairly simple to operate, retrieve and delete content. Cons:1. Camera view is not fishbowl, so to capture a person's full body, you have to be at least 6-10 feet away from them(from my belts vantage point) so position of the unit is speculative, in getting full advantage of the camera's view.2. It needs a screw on metal clip the fits belts size 1"- 2.25"s.

I was looking for something to video events that that might last an hour or more. I saw this body cam and asked Amazon to review it.If you think this has anywhere near the quality of a GoPro, you need to go somewhere else. The video quality is okay, but not great. It may have some kind of stabilizer, but again it is nowhere near as good as a GoPro. If it has a failure it is recording in low light. It just doesn't do well. In the daylight it is a lot better. It is okay adjusting the light when you go from a bright area to a shaded area. It’s not as quick as some other video recorders I have, but it’s not bad. It is not waterproof, so be careful when you are around water or rain.It comes with a 64 GB card. I shot in 1080 and I never had any problems with lag. It took about 1 GB to record 10 minutes of video, which isn’t bad. The information on the screen says that it will record just over 18 hours of video, but the website says 8 hours. When you first turn it on you can see the video screen. After a minute or so the screen turns off. I’m sure there is a way to extend the screen time. Once you start recording and the screen goes off you can touch any button and the screen will go back on for about a minute. One feature I like is that it doesn’t get hot when recording over 10 minutes. Also, you can set it on any one of its sides and it will stand up. It has a clip on it that makes it easy to clip onto your clothes. The lens itself will rotate 180 degrees, which is a great feature.I tested out how far from a person you could get and still have decent sound on cam. I found that in my houses once I got beyond 10 feet it was difficult to understand someone talking in a normal tone. This is a decent little video recorder if you have good light, and you are not jerking it around. It would be good for recording meetings, and for setting it outside to record an event. I have sometimes thought I would like to have a video recorder like this when I park my car in a secluded area and the car break in rate is high. It may not prevent a theft, but I stand a better chance of finding out who did it. There are just a lot of things you can do with this body cam.

The personal body cam is a handy gadget that makes capturing events so much easier! It’s simple to use with an SD card, and the screen gives a clear, live view of what you're recording. It works well and feels secure to clip on and go, freeing up your hands, so you're not constantly holding your phone. It’s especially useful for capturing special events, outdoor activities, or even quick moments you want to document without the hassle. Overall, it’s a convenient little camera that captures clear footage and is perfect for keeping memories hands-free!

I have both the standard GoPro, as well as the little GoPro cube that came out years ago. They work great but are relatively expensive. I am reviewing this body cam, because not everyone can afford GoPro prices. This little body cam works quite well. It easily clips to my shirt, and you can adjust the actual camera part. It will record a human voice fine within about 15 feet if indoors. Outside, especially if there are other outside noises, you need to be closer to get a full understandable convo recorded. Example, we were all standing around a fire pit telling stories. The few people next to me or standing a few people away picked up fine, but those around 12 feet away on the other side of the fire were sometimes difficult to hear on the recording. Also, low light is not it's strong point. It picked up light from the fire and lit faces, but my GoPro for example would do a much better job at picking out colors even in lower light. This one can't. However, at this price I would not complain.
