This motor has lots of torque at 2RPM. For the science project we geared it down even further and mounted it to something like a turntable. Really impressed, worked perfect. Couple of things; the shaft is 5mm so keep that in mind when ordering a gear; second, the mounting holes are M3. I didn't want to buy a couple of dozen of these so was looking around for some screws that have M3 thread. If your into building your own computers or have a scrap one around the house a lot of the motherboard and auxiliary cards have exactly M3 screws. Great buy for our purpose and recommend.

I disliked the small tabs I had to solder leads to the motor.The tabs seem easy to break.

Dead on arrival. Motor not working no continuity across terminals. The gear box is strong, there is s lot of grease in the box, i advise opening the gear box before use and insuring the dab of grease is the gears and not stuck to the sides of the box. I will try to fit a working motor to see if this can be salvaged other than a paper weight.

I bought a few of these units in various RPM configurations for some projects that I've completed which include: these motors are simple to use, are reversible by changing the + and - polarity (I use an H-bridge) and have been very reliable thus far. My applications are not 100% duty cycle (closer to 5% at most) so I am confident that the motors will last a long time.

I am using this for a Halloween crank ghost and it lifts the ghost without any problems but when it comes around towards the heavier side it pulls on the motor which makes an eerie squeeky sound....I wasnt sure about it at first but now it kinds of adds to the ghost. I also checked inside to see how it was lubed and it came with plenty of lube packed inside the gear assemble. The motor itself is sort of small but is slowed down and torque stepped up with the gears.

Ran this non-stop for 40 days (no great load applied, but significant) and it didn't falter. Great little motor and gearbox.
