I originally bought this to hold my hunting rifle in some Rhino clips on an ATV. But the middle pocket has velcro enclosure, so probably not an ideal case to use for hunting unless you can make due with just the front and rear pockets.But going to the range or general protection during transport, this case would work well. Lots of room to store your magazines, range finder and other necessities.

This is a really nice scoped rifle soft case for the price point ($45). It is noticeably more spacious inside than comparable soft cases that I own or have checked out in person. The fabric shell is very tough and well-stitched, and unlike a lot of other cases, the lining is not a soft and spongy knit material that will get saturated with oil and grit from your rifle. The padding is plenty thick and provides very good protection for a soft case. The main zipper is big and solid, and closes from both ends.There is plenty of vertical room for a large scope on high rings. Unlike my other cases that hold powder-burning rifles, I bought this one for a Gamo swarm maxxim .22 air rifle - the magazine loading mechanism that protrudes above the barrel on these Gamos necessitates a high mounting position for the optic that sits behind it, and I have a 42mm objective scope mounted on medium profile rings atop a 0.6" dovetail-to-picatinny adapter, so it's very tall for a standard rifle form factor. This setup could even be another inch taller and it would still fit in this case, so pretty much any typical scoped rifle should fit, as long as it is less than 48" in length. For reference, my Gamo is 45" long and this case has at least 3" of extra space in interior length.

The three newer models of the Allen Gear Fit cases have a sewn in padded strip along the hinge of the case that is vital in protecting the rifle when setting it down. These include the Dakota, Dakota Cxe, and Bull Stalker. They all also adequately fit at 26 inch barrel rifle.

It’s a good gun case. But just from leaving my rifle in this case for a few months there’s rust on my brand new $1,000 deer rifle set up. Savage model 110 .350 legend. Very frustrating as I didn’t get to go deer hunting this year so it’s actually just sat in my gun closet like all my other guns but when I took it out to show it off to my brother there was surface rust patches in various areas on my barrel.Now I’m forced to go and spend $200-$400 to get this thing cerakote’d to ensure the problem doesn’t continue smh. Mildly annoying.

I really like this Allen gun case. I needed a long case for my Ruger Long Range Creedmoor which is about 48” with the suppressor. I have a bench rest model Nightforce on top which takes up a lot of case room. I also had a bipod on the front but with the bipod in place the gun would not fit and the case zip up completely. I dismounted the bipod and the gun then fit and zipped up. It’s a tight fit but it works. I love the storage and the adjustable straps to enlarge space in the front and back pockets. Thick padding ensures my gun is safe. Overall a really good buy and much more reasonable than the tactical cases.
