Please note: the GODOX IM30 is only compatible with cameras that feature a central hot-shoe contact. As shown in the image, if your cameraโs hot shoe does not have a central contact point, it will not be compatible with the GODOX IM30

Good so far! Received it & when tried on my Sony ZV-1 it was very bright. After some research, found out that ISO has to be adjusted (I changed to 200) and that made a huge difference. Itโs convenient to use the batteries, but charging as an option wouldโve been nice.

Good for when you need a quick, compact flash, HOWEVER - I have a Sony A7Rii and it is does not adjust the monitor view or ISO to compensate for flash. So Iโve found myself shooting in the dark- literally. Iโm not sure if there is a solution to this problem, but GoDox is still my go-to flash brand. To be fair, this about what you can expect from a piece of camera equipment at this price point.

Ok, wow! For such a small, inexpensive flash, I'm pretty impressed with the features and performance.Out of the box, you get the flash, a manual, and a soft carrying sleeve.This little guy uses 2 x AAA batteries (not included), which I'm happy to see. I'd be bothered if the manufacturer decided to use a built-in rechargeable battery in this.The controls are very simple, with a power nob, S1/S2 button, and test button all accessible on the top of the unit.There's a sync cord port on the side, and the hot shoe is a single-pin and will work with a huge number of cameras.Being as small as it is, I was curious to see how it would compare to the built-in flash found in several of my cameras. Yeah, this is much better and fills more area with light compared to the built-in flash.One thing you may want to note, however, is that since the flash is fixed and is positioned pretty low on the camera's body, long lenses may have their shadow cast if you're taking a wide angle shot.And because of this fixed position, you obviously can't use this as a bounce flash.It is compatible with optical sensors, so you get some flexibility there.Recycling time is fairly quick (usually only 1-2 seconds with fresh batteries), and I'm happy with the overall performance.This small flash is a great introduction to the Godox brand of photography accessories, and I'm glad to have it in my kit.

It us a decent flashlight. One nice feature is that you can select different output level. Unlike the description it says it is compatible, but not really. Canon camera can fire the light, I guess what they mean. However you need to manually determine what output level to use, the camera cannot communicate with the flashlight. It is only useful to supplement light, but not to serve a really flashlight.
