After six years of light duty use, I finally replaced my Shop Vac filter and the foam filter with this product. Foam filter went on easily and was the right size covering the entire area it is supposed to, but seemed slightly thinner than the original product. The paper filter went on snugly as the black rubberized ends were "fresh". The twist-on lid that goes over the filter assembly to finish the installation didn't quite seat itself properly due to the "fresh" rubber, so I added some petroleum jelly to the edges of the lid (as suggested in another review)...which made it slide in perfectly. Re-assembled the vacuum with a new bag and checked everything out. It works like a charm with the best suction in a while. Based on the other reviews, we'll see how long the filter lasts compared to the original Shop Vac product. Even if it lasts half as long for use in our garage, we'll be ahead cost-wise. I note that Home Depot and Lowes also sell non Shop Vac filters but at higher prices...which is why I ordered through Amazon.

The aftermarket filters do fit , however they are not of great quality. Very thin and need to be changed much sooner than the oem.

Ordered a set of 4 filters 2 paper, 2 foam and a cleaning tool. Only received 1 paper filter and 1 foam filter and the cleaning tool. Missing the restPaper filter feels really thin and will not last.Plastic bags were ripped opened much like it was already returned and re-shipped. Definitely the worst experience I have ever had from an Amazon purchase. Immediately arranged for a return. Will not buy anything from this brand again

My old filter was over 15 years old and was falling apart. I had never bought a new one figuring I would get a new vacuum before it was needed. I can’t really comment on what the one from the manufacturer should look like- but these fit and are working well.
