These are small magnetic sensors. I purchased them to setup two sensors on my garage door so I can tell when it is open or closed. They have been on the door for a while now and survived a couple of weeks at -37C temperatures. I would purchase these again if needed.

I installed these on my garage door for sensing open/close. The way the wired switch is designed allows for some flexibility in mounting. The switch works in two directions relative to the magnet which is great.

This switch is normally open without the magnet close by.Not for my application

The switches that I received were "Normally Open", not "Normally Closed".Normally Open means that they only carry current when the magnet is close.I needed a switch that only carries current when separated from the magnet. These won't do that.If you need "Normally Open", these work exactly as they should (if they were labelled as such).It would be a 5 star for the product, but it's a 1 star for the opposite labeling. Averaged it to 3 stars.
