I really like this piece of equipment. A good replacement to the analogue timers of old. It seems to work very well handling cycling situations. The programming could be a bit tricky if you're not use to it, but the instructions provided were very clear. The programming can also be varied in incredibly complex ways (i.e cycles of on/off only on certain days of the week). There is a red light on the unit that indicates when power is on and off. While it isn't much, I've found that little light to be a very useful indicator. The unit is build rather well. And it also has an internal battery to keep the settings in case the power goes out.The only point of interest to note is that don't panic if it seems like the cycle you've set is not working. What happens in this case is that it usually takes the unit one full cycle before it starts following the on/off times that you've set. This is especially the case if you set it up during a time of the day when it is suppose to be on. At the moment it won't turn on, only after it gets back to that on cycle a second time will things progress normally. This is also detailed in the manual but it is an important point to note for anyone thinking that their unit is broken.

Just as the title mentioned, I've had my self timers for 2 years.I use them for a variety of things, like my Christmas tree, lights/lamps, and I also use them for seed starting in the early spring.I keep them in a safe environment that I know they won't get wet, as they are only indoor use - I would love if these are also made for exterior use!Pros- very easy to use and user friendly- they act as mentioned, timing anything you plug into them perfectly- there are multiple settings, not just daily. You can do any other day of the week, weekends only, etc.- you can also choose 'random' settings for when you are on vacation. This has become extremely helpful for when we leave home, even for 2 days. We plug in lamps and make sure they turn off and on before leaving.- My favorite settings are 'start' at a certain time and 'end' at a certain time - I go to bed knowing that the items isn't turned off and gives me peace of mind.- They don't use a lot of power!- Set them and forget themCons (there aren't many)- I'm a very forgetful person, so I can't ever remember how to use these each year when I need to use them again.- Keep the user manual handy (or just look it up online) for ease of use. I wish there was an option to have simplified buttons/settings so I didn't have to look it up every year.OverallI'm very, very pleased with the durability of these and the ease of use. They've made it through multiple years worth of activity, and multiple items plugged into them at once without blowing a breaker. They've acted as needed - perfect for anything you don't always need plugged in.

Fantastic product. Very easy to set, battery backup so you don't have to be plugged in to set it or if the power goes out, the settings aren't lost. Very good purchase. I highly recommend.

The FosPower Timer Outlet is a well-made and functional product with a clear LCD display and easy-to-use programming options. It offers great versatility for automating appliances, and I can see how it would be incredibly helpful for managing energy usage or scheduling devices. However, it didn’t quite work for the specific purpose I had in mind, so I ended up returning it. This wasn’t due to any fault with the product itself—it just wasn’t the right fit for my needs. For those looking for a reliable and user-friendly indoor timer outlet, this is a solid choice. It’s a great tool for anyone who needs precise control over their devices!

I bought this for my aquarium light, and i have to admit at first I was frustrated and considered returning it. The instructions don't specifically tell you what buttons to press to set the time -- it's the buttons labeled "UP" and "DOWN" to navigate through the different settings. Then press the "Set" button to start editing whatever is currently blinking. Then press "UP" or "DOWN" to confirm it.Once I figured this out though, it works like a charm! It's silent and turns on/off when I need it too. Note that if you try and plug it in while its supposed to be on, you will have to navigate first to the "on" setting and then back to the "auto" setting. If you start from "off" and go to "auto", it'll skip the current cycle. It makes a slight click whenever it turns on or off. Doesn't bother me.It has way more modes available to set up then I need, but it's versatility is very nice.

I bought this timer to control times that my plant lights are on or off. Although programming it isn't entire intuitive, once set up you should not have to program it again except to change the time for DST which is easily done by pressing two buttons simultaneously. You can program up to 10 programs for different days of the week. There are two plugs on this timer, but all programs are applied to both plugs. For example, in my case, I want my plant lights to go on at 8 am and turn off at 12 am every day, so I needed to set up only one program. If you like, you can set up programs for electrical products to go off and on at different times on different days. What I very much like about this timer is that you don't lose the programming if the electricity goes off. It has battery powered memory that retains all of your settings. You don't even have to reset the time of day as this is retained and kept current in memory. When plugged in, it covers only one outlet leaving the other open for use.UPDATE 04/18/20:I have been using this timer for my plant lights for over a year, and it has worked flawlessly. The only times I have had to fool with it was to adjust the time for DST. I should stress at this point it would be a good idea to save the instructions in a place you can find them as some of the settings are not intuitive. If you have the instructions, changing setting is not at all difficult, but sometimes you need to press two buttons for some settings. Another recommendation is to pay attention to settings displayed on the screen. I recently had to unplug the timer, and after plugging it in again, the lights kept going off when they weren't supposed to. At first, I thought the timer was malfunctioning. I finally noticed an "R" in the display and realized I must have accidentally pressed the random button. I pressed the Random button to turn this feature off, and now the timer is working perfectly again.UPDATE 03/30/21:I have been using these timers for over 2 years, and now have 5 of them. To-date, none of them has failed. Once the setting are done, you don't have to worry about resetting anything except DST which needs to be changed twice a year. This requires only to push two buttons simultaneously as mentioned previously. If you decide to buy these timers, make sure to keep the instructions available in case you ever need to change the settings. The original setup is not intuitive, but not difficult at all if you have the instructions handy. The only inconvenience I have experienced is that some of my outlets were installed so the timer is upside down. This is not at all any fault of the timer.UPDATE 02/27/23:I have now have had 4 of these timers that have been in use for over 4 years. Not one of them has failed. I recently bought another set of them. They are reliable and very easy to set up if you have the instructions handy. In the past, I have had other timers that failed, and they have all been replaced with FosPower timers.I am very happy with it and would recommend it. I hope this review was helpful for you, and I will update my review if my opinion changes.

This timer is a tiny bit challenging to configure but certainly doable. I use it to for a weekly power reset of my Verizon High Speed Modem/Router. Supposedly periodic resetting gets rid of the digital artifacts that build up over time and enables faster internet communications. It is not rocket science, but it works.

I now have 8 of these little timers. With 7 day programs and an easy on/off manual switch I use them everywhere. You can't beat the price and usefulness of this box. It only takes up one space on the outlet and it provides two switched outlets. To program, I take it out of the wall and sit down with it at a table--doing all 7 days takes time if you want each day different. The display functions work for weeks without being plugged in so its really easy to move it around to program and then go plug it back in.The instructions are a bit tiny to read but easy enough to understand. I downloaded some and use my PC to read them rather than try to squint at the tiny insert that is packed in the box. I also use one to switch on/off my pool pump by having this timer power up a relay box to the pool--way better than those ugly mechanical dial things used for hot water tanks and pool pumps. If there is a better timer anywhere on the market I haven't seen it yet.
