With the setup of a new rather-compact system in an office, I didn't want to spend ridiculous amounts of money on interconnects (no speaker cables; high-end headphones only), but I also hear the difference in the interconnects in my main audio system, so I wanted to get decent cables. For the connection between audio player (which reads off USB drives) to the DAC, which then feeds the headphone amplifier, I wanted to use optical (Toslink) cables, since they are easy to work with, straightforward to trouble-shoot, and tend to be reliable as long as they are not bent in ridiculous angles. I have a many-hundred-dollar Toslink in my main audio cable, but wanted to try these FosPower cables on the new system just to see if there was a difference.I set up a three-way comparison between this FosPower, a really cheap low-end optical cable (which costs the same as the FosPower but is obviously a poor cable) and my high-end reference. Headphones were top-of-the-line Sennheiser 802s, and everything was used for a month before I started the listening. The cheaply-made optical cable did a credible job, but the audio difference between it and this FosPower surprised me. It was a clear audible difference (even in blind listening with my wife swapping random cables in and out), and one my wife could hear as well in the same comparison. What was interesting was the comparison between the FosPower and the near-thousand-dollar cable; there was a subtle difference, but it was extremely subtle in resolving power and speed. Without a doubt, the FosPower was the best value for money, and I could not be happier with it in the mid-range office system. IN this case, optical bits ain't all the same.I liked the FosPower so much, I've bought two more for my audio systems. Excellent product, nicely made, and sounds great!

It worked as intended. it feels like a high quality premium cable. Thick, rigid and heavy. A good cable, snake oil taken out of the equation, simply has to be thick and well isolated, also good contact connectors on the ends. this checks all the boxes, there is not much more to it. all claims of "superior sound quality" are just nonsense. a good cable has good transmittance or low impedance , good isolation, firm contacts. and that is about it. Don't fall for marketing for idiots.

The thing with optical audio cables is they're really all the same. As long as they work they should all carry the same quality digital signal. Where they differ the most is build quality. This cable by FosPower seems to be very well made. It's thick, braided, and the end connectors feel solid. Really good for the price

Merci tout d'abord pour l'envoie rapide du colis. Concernant le câble Toslink (0,9 m) FosPower je suis juste impressionnée par la qualité physique du câble, de par son diamètre qui malgré tout reste flexible. La connection sur mon ampli est juste un peu légère, sur mon tuner c'est mieux. Qualité son, c'est là ou j'ai été le plus surpris ! L'équilibre des fréquences sur mon système est juste parfait, comparé à des grandes marques américaine ou allemande que je possède sur d'autres composants et qui coute 5x plus chère et même plus, avec souvant un manque de basse pour la cathégorie, ou alors il faut monter encore en gamme pour en avoir un tout petit peu plus, avec des bonne basse bien sèche, mais alors trop d'aigus... Qui fatigue :( . Bref, 5 étoiles pour cette étonnante trouvaille amazon. Encore une fois, je suis très impressionné pour le qualité prix. Je pense en reprendre un autre de 1.5m pour mon streamer.
