So after watching 3 videos on Youtube, I felt like I would be able to tackle a toilet repair job quickly. One hour and a swore back later, I can safely say those guys on Youtube made it look much easier than it is. But don't let me scare you. If an overconfident, not at all handy, and slightly impulsive guy like me can do it, so can you. The wax ring is good. 5/5 would wax again.

Reinstalled new toilet. Flange was below ceramic level. The think flange that came with the toilet did not make a good seal. This one was a much better fit created a perfect seal. The built in flange was also a great idea.

Fluidmaster 7513 Extra Thick Wax Toilet Bowl Gasket with FlangeDecent product. Works. Price was okay as it was purchased as an Amazon add-on item. Can't say I couldn't find similar for less at a nearby store but I wasn't in a hurry.

It's a wax seal for a toilet. It keeps poop from squirting out from under your toilet. It seems to be doing the job.

Amazon has deemed this item INELIGIBLE FOR RETURN!Important to know before purchasing because it is NOT EXTRA THICKNESS!!It is described in the ad as 1.96 inches thick, but it is ACTUALLY ONLY 3cm thick. (1 1/4 inches thick)You can see in my picture the plastic container is 1.94"....but not the wax!!The standard wax seals are 3.1cm thick so this is not extra thick!I have contacted customer service regarding the misinformation in the product description. They stated they will correct this mistake however, do not purchase this product if you need a thicker than standard wax seal!

Had to put a riser under my toilet and used this to replace the old seal it worked great and fit easily in the pipe to hold the wax in place while seating the riser down.

This is TOTALLY a wax ring. It's sticky, as it should be, and pretty much the standard thickness commonly seen in such a product, of the serviceable quality that you'd expect in an insignificant product requiring not much technical expertise to make out of inexpensive materials and from a well-known, reputable company in the plumbing-supply industry. It does the job it's designed to do. I can't say I could imagine what a wax ring would have to do to excel in performance, besides being adequate. In the rating, they wanted me to evaluate its "Sheerness"...I gave it five stars for Sheerness, because, basically, I didn't want to drag down their rating even on something that seemed irrelevant. I must admit it's opaque, barely translucent at best near the edges if you're sighting through a corner. If by "Sheerness" they mean the smoothness and texture of the wax and cone, it WAS perfectly sheer, totally without jutting surfaces that could snag any waste matter passing by. I'm sure the request for me to review this product appeared in my sidebar due to a computer algorithm, and the thought of providing an in-depth review of such a banal, commonly-known product was so ludicrous I just had to respond. I must be bored. I suppose the only thing that could go wrong would be if the package was damaged, but that'd be the fault of the handling service rather than the manufacturer. The packaging from the company appeared adequate--a molded plastic tray (if memory serves) that may even have functioned to cast the molten wax placed into it during manufacture. It wasn't a very substantial plastic tray, but it was substantial enough, and conformed to the dimensions of the box perfectly, the union of box and tray having a surprising structural integrity considering their constitution, to protect the product within. Even if poorly packed in the larger shipping box, it would have a high likelihood of reaching its destination intact.
