I needed something to be able to watch DVDs or CDs on my laptop. This little device is exactly what I was looking for. And it comes in a very nice case which makes transporting it from place to place very easy. I’m very happy with this purchase

My main use for this product is to load software onto my laptop and my desktop both of which lack a CD/DVD drive. It works fine for that main purpose but it provides an unbelievable number of USB connection points that makes it an excellent USB hub as well. If that's not enough it has a storage area underneath for the USB cord (provided) connecting the drive to my computers. Oh and it also comes with a nice small carrying case. In a word it's a "perfect" device.

I'm so glad I found this external DVD player, because well, we can't find our old DVD player in the house and even if we stream a lot, be do have an extensive collection of DVDs we like to watch sometimes.This external player is SO THIN, it's pretty much the size of a portable CD player so you can carry it with you on vacation or at work for presentations. It comes in a nice protective case that will prevent any damages and keeps it dust free.It was easy enough to plug in and start, I didn't have to install anything, and it's easy enough to find in your computer once it's plugged in. Also, it uses regular USB and USB-C plugs, which i LOVE because I have a Macbook that has no regular USB slots. I was able to easily insert a DVD in the player and actually play it without any issues, and that's really all I need.I haven't tried burning a CD yet because, well, I just don't have any on hand, but I can circle back if I ever revive iTunes and find actual CDs to burnOverall, very solid choice if you a looking for something small, portable and affordable !!

I love everything about this docking station. I always find I’m missing ports on the laptop (or in my case, through my docking station. It’s amazing how fast they run out with keyboards, USB’s, external drives. It seems pretty responsive and I’m able to make some of my CD’s digital.I really can’t think of anything they could’ve done better with this - it comes with a great case for transporting and comes with a hidey hole in the bottom for the built in cable. It’s also plug and play with both my personal windows 11 desktop “mini-pc” and my work computer that’s fully locked down and running windows 10.Going along with the plug and play - it really is - there is no extra power needed, regardless if you use the USB A or USB C cable. I bought my last external DVD RW drive when they were first coming out and 4.7 GB was a lot to store -and it was over 5 times as much, 5 times as big, and gave me no extra features.Can’t say enough good things about it!

This drive does what I needed: plays my dusty old DVD collection without complaint. But it comes with a cable so short it's almost comical. It barely reaches the top of a desktop tower, let alone comfortably... and that's when the drive is sitting on the top of the tower! That cable is also built-in, which makes swapping it out a hassle unless you've got an extender on hand.It's advertised as an 8-in-1 with CD burning and USB hub functions, but those feel more like box-checking than real perks. I haven't tested the burning functions (who burns CDs or DVDs anymore?), and the hub setup is undermined by that same short cable. It's also a bit noisy and definitely on the slower side, but hey, it's slim, affordable, and it works.The included carrying case is decent quality, though I doubt I'll ever travel with it. This is more of a "keep in a drawer for the once-a-year nostalgia session" kind of item. For what I paid, it's fine, but a better cable would've made it feel a lot less compromised.

My DVD drive gave up on my tower computer. This works perfectly as a secondary drive. I can also copy directly from a CD to a thumbdrive. Perfect for music/audio transfer
