It's an alloy wire, so naturally it's going to be much more malleable than the mild steel or stainless variants. This being said, it doesn't share the same material properties as the others. As it's elasticity raises, tensile strength will lower. Steel on the other hand, will reach it's max yield strength as it starts stretching. This in turn will have you shearing more twists than as if you were using a steel variant.Where a steel wire can hold with a single wire, I'll typically double it up with this wire. Works well in that application. Doesn't immediately rust out like many steel wires- which is fairly important to me.TLDR: Works well for what it is. Just don't expect the strength/elasticity of steel wire. You won't be able to twist a tail like you would with a bare or annealed steel wire. It is an alloy after all.

Good Quality wire......very malleable. Too expensive to be a 5 Star.

I bought this spool as a recommendation for a DIY project I was working on and it worked great. The wire is pliable in that it will keep a bent form if that's what your're looking for, it appears to be pretty strong and for what I used it for it was great wire. Thick gauge but easy to work with.
