While it certainly has a very bitter taste, I got a whiff of some when I got caught in a sudden breeze, while spraying. It has not slowed the Chipmunks down one iota from climbing the post or the board that the bird feeder is attached to. I have thoroughly soaked all four sides of the post and the board up top, that the bird feeder is sitting on, twice now. I had soaked everything and barely crossed the lawn, weather was dry and a Chipmunk climbed up almost behind me. So I would consider this a failure as Chipmunk deterrent.

Padded paper package arrived ripped with nozzle of product sticking out and having leaked into and outside of the package. Got some of the product on my hands and can vouch for its bitterness. I returned it due to the state it arrived in so cannot speak to its effectiveness in repelling rodents.

This DOES NOT WORK! My situation was the perfect testing ground and it failed on every level. I have a squirrel living in a confined space namely my hot water tank enclosure in the utility room in my house. I removed the door covering the enclosed tank and saturated everything with DOKTOR DOOM 24/7 twice but it has done nothing to deter the squirrel from returning and chewing on everything including the floor boards, dry wall and wiring to the tank. Im sending the product back.

Squirrels seem to be oblivious to it's smell. They do not seem to be bothered by any repelling smell anyway.
