When you have an older but good monitor that doesn't support Display Port or HDMI, but instead just DVI, this is a good solution. It's just a cable but it works very well, and overall saves on the otherwise cost of a cable plus a adapter, because buying those two components will cost more than this cable alone.

Doesnt work, either not at all or very low resolution. Have to unplug and plug again multiple times for my screen to display an image, but 640x480 max.
