I gifted this to my nephew on his birthday. He loves dinosaurs. It would have been nice if the eggs hatched in a few minutes or hours rather than DAYS lol. He didn’t have patience to wait that long, so he broke the eggs to take out dinosaurs and play with them.

I got this as a stocking stuffer for my son who loves dinosaurs. I thought they'd be just a fun, silly purchase that would be cute -- and they are! -- but my son loved these much more than I expected. The anticipation as they all "hatched" was fun for all of us. The dinosaurs themselves are very cute, sturdy, and they look great.

So these eggs can take a week to hatch on their own. Not worth it for kids just break them after 10 minutes in warm water. Take them out of the water and don’t let them grow. As they grow they look awful and distorted. Diseased would be a good word to describe them while they are wet. When they are tiny and dry they are quite cute and usable as toys.

my only negative is that I didn't read the instructions and thought they would open in the bath - but they take 24-48 hours to fully open.

Don’t care for the slimy beads inside. My 4 yr old grandson loved this. He actually “cracked” them open because he didn’t want to wait to see which Dino came out. Takes a while for them to grow. Use warm water and change out twice a day and they grow faster.

These keep my daughter entertained for a while. She loves waiting for them to “hatch” in the water and then likes to play with the “surprise” inside. I’d recommend if your child likes surprise type of toys. I gave it four stars because some of the eggs don’t hatch after several days and you kind of have to break them open.
