About this item

  • ADVANCE TECHNOLOGY: The Epicenter contains a bass maximization circuit that accurately recreates and injects low frequency information back into the signal path meaning more bass impact to your stereo
  • BASS OUTPUT CONTROL: The Epicenter circuitry has the ability to produce large amounts of deep, mind shattering bass without damaging your speakers. The Bass Output Control circuit allows The Epicenter to maximize the bass output of any autosound audio system while restraining destructive bursts.
  • PARA-BASS CONTROLS: 2 knobs one for the "sweep" which allows you toi set the center frequency you want maximized and "wide" knob adjusts how wide the frequency range the Epicenter will effect.
  • DASH MOUNTED CONTROL: The Epicenter comes with a dash mountable control that allows you to enjoy the effects of The Epicenter without having to leave the drivers seat. The dash mount control also has a dual color LED indicator that can be rainforest green or sunshine amber. This LED will grow brighter as you add more bass or dimmer when you decrease it.
  • 100% OXYGEN FREE COPPER WIRE RCA: OFC wiring is manufactured using a process that minimizes the presence of impurities, specifically oxygen. By removing oxygen from the copper, OFC wiring reduces the risk of signal distortion and enhances signal purity, resulting in cleaner and more accurate audio reproduction.

The Epicenter Concert Series Digital Bass Restoration Processor by AudioControl is a device designed to enhance the bass response of your vehicle's audio system. It incorporates patented bass maximization circuitry that analyzes the audio signal from your source unit and restores missing bass tones, effectively increasing the overall bass output. The primary function of The Epicenter is to identify low-frequency information that may be lost during the audio production or transmission process and reintroduce it back into the audio signal path. This restoration process helps to recreate the deep bass tones that may not be adequately reproduced by your subwoofers alone. In addition to the bass restoration functionality, The Epicenter also offers parametric bass control. This feature allows you to fine-tune the bass response according to your preferences. By adjusting the parameters such as center frequency, bandwidth, and level, you can customize the bass output to suit your listening environment and personal taste. Furthermore, The Epicenter includes a subsonic filter, which can be utilized to eliminate very low-frequency content that may cause distortion or strain on your audio system. The subsonic filter prevents frequencies below a specified cutoff point from reaching your subwoofers, ensuring cleaner and more efficient bass reproduction. By incorporating The Epicenter into your vehicle's audio setup, you can enhance the bass performance, providing a more immersive and impactful audio experience. It enables your subwoofers to deliver earth-shaking power and heart-pounding bass that they crave, while also giving you control over the fine details of the bass response.

This little beast does some amazing things. I've wanted one since I started car audio in the early 2000s. Works great for classic rock and metal, classics, and even some EDM. Can even be used on rap despite what people say. If used with a clipping light on your amplifierbass knob you won't damage your subs. You can also hear when it starts getting distorted and muddy. You can definitely hard clip your subs if you aren't paying attention so be careful! This isn't a set it and forget it type of device, it requires a small amount of tuning on a per song basis. The remote knob only controls the epicenter effects and not overall volume. Your normal bass knob can be used in conjunction with the effect knob. I typically have the epicenter set at zero or very low while changing songs and gradually add the epicenter to my liking. I'm running mine on a sundown 12 classic at around 1000wrms ported at 32hz. A higher cone area sub would perform better on the low frequencies that the epicenter creates though, still makes a ton of difference! Easy to install! I have it piggy backed off my amps power, ground, and remote wires. Doesn't use a ton of power so no issues with power consumption like running multiple amps. Easy addition to any system.
