I was very surprised at just how well these electric scissors work - in fact, I might even use the word "aggressive"!They are not quite - they generate a significant amount of noise when turned on. If you wanted to cut up some fabric late at night, depending on a few factors, you could wake someone up!I like the cordless style, and the fact it takes easy to find USB-C cable connections.The trigger for turning the unit on, is large with the pivot point near the front. This gives you a rather broad area that will start the scissors. Just above the trigger on the left side, is a single blade lock. Turned "on", it will prevent the scissors for starting. An excellent safety feature, especially because the blades are always exposed, ready to cut. However, the safety lock is small, and does not lock all that well. I would much prefer a larger button for this purpose, and a button that really "snapped" into position. It is all too easy to move the safety switch to "on" or "off".The fact the scissors have exposed, very sharp cutting heads, is the only issue for concern. A hard plastic cap of some sort, would be a great safety feature. As they are now, I would only transport them with the cutting head removed from the body. The fast speed of the cutter head could do serious damage to a human hand.The replacement of the cutter head is a great idea! It allows you to replace the blades when they get dull, and it allow allows you to resharpen the blades yourself, or find a sharpening store.As to performance, they are pretty remarkable! Because the cutter heads move so rapidly, cutting curves is not a problem. It can take very small cuts which results in the ability to move in tight circles. The cuts are straight, fast and very clean! How thick can you cut? You can tell by the sound. If the scissors begins to labour - and you can hear it struggle - then you have too many layers of fabric. On single or double layers of fabric, this device cuts very well!Bottom Line - The cordless, electric scissor unit, cuts fabric or paper, very quickly. It combines easy use and quality cuts, making it an excellent tool for sewing or crafting. Care must be taken with the cutter heads.

These electric scissors came partially charged and after a couple of hours the charging light extinguished and it appeared to be fully charged.Cutting paper was effortless and the scissors made a good, clean cut. I then moved up to cardboard measuring about 2mm in thickness, which it again cut through effortlessly. However, cardboard of 5mm or more caused the scissors to seize up and I found they would not cut. This was disappointing because I had planned to use them for cutting heavy duty boxes used by Amazon to ship their goods, allowing me more space in the recycling bin.Being cordless is helpful because it avoids having to manage a power cord while cutting. The scissors are noisy and louder than I would have expected. Standard USB A - C charging cable. Lightweight and easy to see in the lime green colour I acquired.There is a safety catch but it is pretty easy for a small child to knock that and deactivate.It does come with a spare set of blades but I haven't had it long enough to require me to change them.

Being enrolled in the Amazon Vine program means I get a lot of packages and cardboard that I have to dispose of. I normally shred them with an exacto blade, but thicker cardboard can give me a hard time. Having this device makes it much easier on the hand. The automatic action sheers through the cardboard, as I just have to push it along.This feels comfortable in the hand. I can use this with either hand. The trigger button is located perfectly for two fingers to push.I find the safety button is a little too easy for my liking. It slides very smoothly, and even just handling the device, it would inadvertently toggle between on and off. The logo for on and off is also too hard to see. The labels should be larger and in a different colour to the casing.The device does operate pretty loud. It is especially loud when it is going through cardboard. That is one of the main negatives with it.The device comes with two blades. To switch, there is a button on the top and then it slides out. I find that the action is not very fluid. It seems to get stuck, and I need to fidget around to get it inserted.It would have been nice to have a cover for the blade. They are not able to retract and are out in the open. Just something to keep it safe when handling and in storage, especially with the loose safety.Overall this is a solid cutter. It definitely saves effort in cutting up boxes and packages. It is well made, and is easy to use.Four stars.

I am going to give this the benefit of the doubt and assume that it does normally work. Mine does not.I am never enthusiastic about a product that arrives with peeling stickers as this always just screams poor quality to me.It does have a safety lock to lock it in the off position. Just handy not a significant issue.It comes with a second blade but changing it is a real pain in the butt as the the latch spring is so tight it is really, really difficult to remove the old blade.It claims to have battery protection features which would be a real benefit of that's the case .

This week I tried the Electric Cutter on a few boxes and on gift wrapping paper. I was impressed by performance. This thing goes fast. The battery lasted longer than I expected. I love that it comes with 2 blades and a lock. It's almost dummy proof. If you do a lot of DIY products I would recommend getting one of these. It cuts through a lot of different materials. I would highly recommend.
