Easy install (doesn't come with gasket, but you can buy one on Amazon for $10 or make your own). Easy install: Face tractor down-hill so you don't lose fluid, pull the old one out, clean up gasket surface, install new one. No more using those chintzy adapter bushings.

Replaces old small PTO in Ford 2N. Had to do some filing on bearing housing in order to install unit. Works well once installed.

I gave this two stars only because shipping was quite quick and the price was good. Other than that (in my humble opinion) the shaft is of very poor quality. Firstly, it is too long (approximately 1/4") for my 9n regardless of what was advertised. I've read that it can be pulled in by the bolts but i am guessing removal after would be a regrettable nightmare. Secondly, it has snap rings (not as advertised) retaining the bearing and seal on the shaft. Thirdly the splines are nowhere near as robust as the original shaft. These splines are serrated, sharp, jagged, wavy and triangular. Fourthly, It came in a crudely repaired/taped up box and a bag soaked in gear oil (from its unknown number of installation attempts) that was torn open at one end stapled at the other. Obviously someone else also took a chance and decided it to be a mistake and returned it. I had high hopes but will also most definitely and unfortunately be returning this ASAP.

Easy to change fit well. I parked my 8n nose first into a ditch so the hydraulic fluid wouldn’t leak out. 4 bolts. Comparing the shafts were very similar until you get to the conversion part as expected. Installed easy. Little bit of rotating and a smidge of clutch pedal. I tried to buy the kit that came with cap and gasket, but that fell through on the vendor side. The old cap doesn’t fit the new shaft. Also, the nice looking overrunning clutch I bought didn’t fit by about 1/8”. I had to buy a different style for my brush hog. Mowed the field all summer without any PTO issues. This new shaft takes out all the slop from the original 1-1/8” which was pretty beat up.
