It's a warm hat. Not water proof but if it's protection from the cold alone, this should do it. I'm not sure how I feel about the mix of colors but i think that it will grow on me. I'm not a fan of the snaps as the material just seems out of place. There are many colors options with this hat. Mine is black and grey and beige. I might order this again in another color as it is quite comfortable and warm.

This bomber hat fits well and should fit most heads other than maybe real large sized. It is super soft, comfortable and really warm. Worn with the side flaps down, you get great protection from the wind and cold and you can snap the sides up and back for when you don’t need the extra protection. The material is nice and thick, and the fleece covers the sides, while the inside top is the quilted smooth material to help eliminate sweating while wearing. Great value.
