Your cart is empty.While it's officially a sequel to the immensely popular Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross is completely its own role-playing game with over 40 characters, a branching story line, and multiple endings. Like its predecessor, the game is about crossing through time and setting things right. This story focuses on Serge's quest for the Frozen Flame, which will give the beholder the power to bend space and time. Serge wants the power to save himself from dying in a parallel universe but, as you can guess, nefarious forces are also vying for the Frozen Flame to suit their own purposes.
Chrono Cross features the stylish character designs and wondrous cut scenes that gamers have come to expect from SquareSoft, but the game also has a number of gameplay innovations. Though the battle engine is essentially turn-based, characters don't have to wait their turn to cast a spell or make an attack; battles are moderated by stamina. Also, the repetitive battles with lesser monsters that make so many RPGs sag can be easily avoided because all monsters can be seen on the screen.

Chrono Cross, the follow-up game to the beloved SNES game Chrono Trigger, is a game that might melt your brain if you try to dig too deep into the narrative, which involves hopping between dimensions, time travel, sentient computers, and mind control. It gets weird, and it gets good. While it's heralded as a classic RPG, it's also a game that many people haven't played, even fans of the genre and of Chrono Trigger. It has a good sized cast of characters, most of whom aren't necessary to the plot but who can be met and befriended through various side-quests, and together with the magic system, this allows for a very good level of customization when it comes to battles and strategies. Not the most customization I've ever seen, but still very good. The battle system itself does stand out a bit from its contemporaries of the time, though it's nothing too revolutionary; "turn-based with a twist," is the best way to put it, I think.But it's the story that really stands out, giving players an impressively complex and deep romp through vast philosophical fields and stretching the limits of the imagination when it comes to melding science fiction and fantasy together. Like the best RPGs, it's too deep to go into in such a short review space, but if you enjoy retro RPGs, Chrono Cross is definitely a title you ought to pick up.

When I bought this on Amazon I got a sealed copy of a nearly twenty-year-old game. I guess some warehouse somewhere had a large quantity of new unopened copies of the game to get rid of? Or maybe it just got re-sealed? Anyways, its a decent game. Very different from Chrono Trigger but it's enjoyable.

As title says, the case is slightly cracked on the back. It's by no means a serious damage of high regard, and the discs are undamaged (I mean, the back cover art isn't damaged, either, so... yea). Not a big deal for my situation, but by now I think you'd get the idea, since there's already a ton of comments about the cracked case issue.The game itself is awesome. I can finally call myself a proud owner of the game. And I'm also playing it for the first time on the PS1 and PS3 consoles, after having emulated it on PC for so long. I feel grateful that I can still find new PS1 games for cheap even if it's Greatest Hits version.

Este no es un lugar para escribir una reseña completa.Por lo que lo único que puedo decir es que no es el juego original, es una edición fabricada por SQUARE-ENIX en fechas mas recientes.Por ello el precio tan accesible.Funciona perfectamente en una consola Play Station y emuladores que permiten imagen ISO.

Un classico di un epoca passata, purtroppo non superò mai il suo predecessore Chrono Trigger nonostante gli elementi ci fossero tutti, una colonna sonora incredibile, una storia complessa (forse anche troppo anche per gli stessi scrittori) e buone meccaniche.Prodotto sigillato e nuovo come nella descrizione.-Attenzione--Chrono Cross non venne mai pubblicato in europa, la versione che riceverete è quella americana (NTSC), quindi non potrete giocarci con una console europea, quindi fate attenzione.Crono Cross non venne mai pubblicato in Europa

C'est la version américaine du jeu, vu qu'il n'est jamais sorti en Europe, il faudra alors une console pucée pour y jouer, ou utiliser un émulateur sur pc.Sinon, on a là un magnifique J-RPG, l'une des dernières perles de la playstation 1. Graphismes, musiques, gameplay, scénario, tout est de qualité. Un jeu qui reste dans les mémoires pour tous ceux qui l'essayent.
