Simple answer. Gauge hose uses left hand thread, while the can (recommended by Amazon) is RIGHT HAND thread.I am not impressed and simply giving a low score based on how unimpressed I am with Amazon.

Make sure you start out by reading the instruction! The cans screws in counterclickwise. Let me help you again by saying "the can screws in counterclockwise". Not sure why but it does.I'll do almost all of my own servicing on my vechiles except complete motor rebuilds and transmissions. I was a little upset though to find out that my R134 charging machine didn't work and I needed to get a different one to hook up to my truck. I was looking at getting one of the professional ones but I decided I would give this one a try. It is really easy to use and has worked great on servicing my truck so far.
