I was using a fairly hard steel and I was surprised at how easily the tap cut even in a slightly undersized hole.

I tried a few taps before I got this one. The others were a nightmare and would have cost me thousands in repairs if I hadnt known what to look for. This tap was packaged nicely, was clean and free of burrs. Cut like a champ and made for a very easy trailer hitch install on my 2020 Honda Pilot.
