Yes, this lens is on the heavy side and is a lil pricey for most; that being said…what they packed into this lens makes it an absolute game changer…and totally worth every pound and penny!Goodbye frequent lens swaps; being able to reach out to 105mm, makes this lens the ultimate photojournalism/event lens. Oh! Did I mention it has SUPERB video features/quality?I’m in absolute love with this lens, you will be too. Don’t hesitate, get this lens.

Lens was purchased as a replacement for my EF 24-70 II f/2.8.I use this lens with the EOS R5 camera mostly for plays, musical productions and other low light, indoor events. The lens is very sharp and focus is almost instantaneous, the extra reach compared to the EF 24-70 is very much appreciated- I don't have to switch lenses as often as I did in the past.The lens is fairly heavy but not overly so and for me, it has not been an issue.I don't currently do videography but it's nice to know if/when I do, I have a good combo of camera body and lens to start correctly.Due to the high cost, I sat on the fence for quite some time before I finally decided to purchase this lens. Hindsight being 20/20, my only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner!

Great for run-and-gun productions! Excellent stabilization and smooth zoom. A bit heavy, but worth it.
