It is a very undemanding plant, well suited for individuals who travel often or who are prone to forget to water their plants. Thick, round, dark green leaves and delicate pink flowers sit atop fleshy stems and branches. These succulent features hold water for long periods of time. Though it grows to heights of 10 feet tall in its native habitat, it is an ideal bonsai for a beginner; this beautiful plant is easy to care for and will be a thing of beauty for years to come. Comes with Humidity tray and decorative rocks to counteract the effects of indoor dryness and outdoor windiness. Excess water collects in the tray and slowly evaporates; increasing the humidity around the tree and improving the growing environment. Your bonsai tree thrives while windowsills stay dry and debris-free. A tray can also be used outdoors to improve conditions in dry or windy sites. The tree came messily wrapped in shrink wrap and packed in peanuts. The dirt had shifted everywhere and the roots were exposed but moist. I was able to recollect everything in with the tree but now it is dropping branches and leaves. Also, the tree has a lean to it and if it hadn't just been stressed I would re-pot it to get the lean fixed. The tray that it comes with has some rocks but the package only covered about half of the tray and looks nothing like the picture. The tree has been roughly chopped back with what I can only describe as a "hedge trimmed" look. There are rough cuts everywhere to create a roughly oval shape but it looks terrible. I can see how this tree has potential I don't feel this is worth it. Also the water side of the bin holds water but it is just for display.... I am planning on getting some sand to put a zen garden on that side going.
